為了務農第一步就是要對自然環境深入的見解，並讓土地能夠有充足有機物,因此選擇以草生栽培的方式，在火龍果園裡種滿了四瓣馬齒莧，「最重要是它的有機質，還有它的保肥還有保濕， 以前只要肥料撒下去的時候，一場雨，肥料就流走了。」現在不但可以維持，土壤的肥力與濕度，還能抑制雜草生長,如此便可不必使用農藥除草，並可以維持果樹與環境的 健康，安心享用火龍果以外，更希望四周的綠野，能夠回復小時候多樣態生物的風貌。
追求環保，堅持自然，有機無毒，一直是本園的目標與堅持，因此為了讓消費者更安心，本園經過行政院農業藥物試驗所檢驗無農藥檢測合格及吉園認證，讓消費者可以食得健康、吃得安心。
