YesHealth Group expands vertical farming footprint in Taiwan with new large-scale facility in Taichung.

The new facility will be built on a 6,000-square-meter greenfield site and will feature a total cultivation area of approximately 15,000 square meters.

YesHealth Group today announced the expansion of its mature and market-validated vertical farming business model in Taiwan through a new strategic collaboration with Taichung-based Seasons Future Farm Co., Ltd. Together, the companies will develop a large-scale indoor vertical farm in Xinshe District, Taichung City, strengthening regional food supply and advancing sustainable agriculture in central Taiwan.

The new facility will be built on a 6,000-square-meter greenfield site and will feature a total cultivation area of approximately 15,000 square meters. Designed to meet YesHealth Group’s technical and operational standards, the farm will include 13 advanced growing racks, each reaching 11 meters in height, enabling high-density, year-round production of premium leafy greens.

Under the collaboration structure, Seasons Future Farm will lead construction of the building and infrastructure in accordance with YesHealth Group’s specifications, while YesHealth Group will design, install, and operate the internal farming systems. Construction is scheduled to commence on February 13, 2026, with installation of farming equipment beginning in August 2026. The facility is expected to begin commercial production in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The project is rooted in a shared commitment to healthier food systems and long-term agricultural sustainability. Seasons Future Farm is operated by Chairman Mr. Tsu-Hui Chung and his family, who bring deep local knowledge and a long-term vision for the future of agriculture in central Taiwan.

It takes a mountain of know-how to design and build the world's largest indoor vertical farms, but it's the third step where most farms ultimately win or lose.

We’ve just completed a state-of-the-art leafy greens facility in Riyadh, with production ramping to full capacity (2,000 kg per day) within months.

We've deployed 7 experienced technicians on site. The team is managed by Stella Tsai with Anastasiia Hansen leading and coordinating the local production team.

We’re taking full responsibility for daily operations through our end-to-end Design, Build, and Operate partnership model, whereby we help local partners accelerate their path to profitability, backed by our 12+ years of hands-on vertical farming experience.

Design and build get you to the starting line, but it’s how you operate, day in and day out, that determines whether a farm truly succeeds.

Riyadh sees only 15-18 rainy days a year, but we’re growing basil, kale, parsley, red sorrel, and romaine right here in the desert 🌱✨

This week marks our final trial harvest, and we’re thrilled to share that our next harvest will be hitting major retail chains in Jeddah and Riyadh by the end of the month.

Proud of what the team is building. Excited for what’s ahead. And eager for you to spot our produce on shelves soon 🌿💚

Many vertical farms in North America and Europe have struggled or shut down, with a few standout exceptions.

Yet optimism is growing in the Middle East.

At the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit, our CCO Jesper Hansen will dig into the big question: Why are the conditions for success stronger here, and how can vertical farms capitalize?

He’ll be moderating a discussion with four industry leaders, including Modar Hisham Nazer, co-founder of Jana Farms, Mowreq Specialized Agriculture, and VFCo — our partner in Saudi Arabia.

If you're attending the conference, don't miss this session. Join the conversation, challenge the assumptions, and help shape the future of vertical farming in the region.

See you in Dubai!

Three years ago, we set out to grow fresh, local food in one of the harshest climates on Earth. Today, we’ve started farming leafy greens in the Saudi Arabian desert.

In partnership with Mowreq Specialized Agriculture, we’ve designed and built the tallest vertical farm in the region, using the same technology that powers our farms in Lithuania and Taiwan.

Our first crops (red sorrel, butterhead lettuce, and kale) are flourishing.

By the end of this year, we’ll begin full-scale commercial operations and work toward producing 2,200 kg of greens per day.

Fresh, sustainable produce, right where it’s needed most.

This weekend we had a very special visitor at Leafood vertical farm in Lithuania:

The Honorable Ms. 蔡英文 Tsai Ing-wen — former President of Taiwan. Most know her as a global voice for democracy... But fewer know that during her administration, she championed innovation.

💚 The integration of agri-biotech to modernize farming
🌞 Energy transition powered by wind and solar
🥬 Long-term food security and sustainable development

Leafood vertical farm embodies all of it. We combine advanced agri-biotechnology with 100% renewable energy to create the future of farming — right here in Europe.

It was an honor to showcase our vision to a leader who’s helped shape the global innovation agenda.

Condolences to our friends in the Holy See 🙏 Pope Francis will be remembered as much more than just a leader of the Catholic church. He will also be remembered as a leader of technology.

In one of his final prayers before passing, Pope Francis said, "Technology is the fruit of the intelligence God gave us. We should use technology to unite, not to divide. To help the poor. To improve the lives of the sick and persons with different abilities.”

We were blessed by his support of our partnership with Percorsi di Cittadinanza. The small indoor vertical farm that we built together in Le Citta dei Ragazzi was used to teach young people about controlled environment agriculture in the hope of inspiring a new generation of agriculture professionals.

We collaborated with local vendors to build the farm, designed a curriculum and trained teachers to deliver it to their students. The project had great significance for us and everyone involved.

May his soul rest in peace.

Happy Harvest Day at Leafood 🥳🌿🎈 We've reached a humongous milestone today 🥁

One year in mass production 💪

Congratulations to Leafood who have dedicated themselves to growing top quality leafy greens. They're working unbelievably hard to reach their goals.

Kudos to our team in Lithuania: Stella (pictured center) who leads the farming operation, Jim (right) who heads the engineering team, and Steve (left) who manages production planning.

Leafood has been quick to learn our know-how, and in turn, we're learning a lot from Leafood. Together, we can grow higher still.

Pak choi has always been a popular stir-fry ingredient, but did you know it also makes for a great salad? Lithuanian consumers certainly think so.

Over the past 12 months at Leafood, our partner farm in Lithuania, we started growing baby green and purple pak choi as an alternative to spinach.

There are many reasons why consumers like our baby pak choi. It's juicier than spinach. It's also a good source of calcium and vitamins A, B6, and C.

But moreover, there are a few reasons why we love growing pak choi, too:

1. Pak choi is cleaner than spinach.
- Spinach seeds carry bacteria that can harm other crops, so they must either be sanitized or grown separately in their own hydroponics system. Troublesome 😤

2. Pak choi is less sensitive than spinach.
- Spinach doesn't like heat, making it difficult to grow (even in Lithuania where it's not particularly hot). Pak choi, on the other hand, grows merrily all year round.

3. Pak choi grows at 2x the rate of spinach.
- Since switching from spinach to pak choi, we've doubled our yield, which means more produce for our customers and greater productivity for us. It's a no brainer.
