In this retrospective/prospective edible exhibition, TwoMONTHSperYEAR will slowly unfold its chronology to expose the ephemeral tensions between recurrence and transformation, collapsing the body that remembers and the body that dreams, in a gesture that opens the past forward and draws the future back, both trace and becoming, simultaneously closing and beginning anew.
A few years ago, we established TwoMONTHSperYEAR, traveled a long way, and reached a point where we each had to pursue our own paths to inner peace. We don’t know if we have fully found it yet, but we both feel that now is the right time to give TwoMONTHSperYEAR another start — slower this time, and more in tune with our personal rhythm.
We will be reopening on October 24–25 and hope to be able to greet you on the last weekend of each month after that.
This is not a promise, but we will do our best to make it happen.

在這場回顧／前瞻的可食展覽中，TwoMONTHSperYEAR 緩緩開展時間軸，揭示那重現與轉化之間，稍縱即逝的張力，當記憶之身與夢想之身交錯，以一種同時向前開啟過去、向後牽引未來的姿態，成為痕跡亦成為生成，在閉攏之前再次打開。
幾年前，我們創立了 TTwoMONTHSperYEAR，走過漫長的路，走到一個需要各自尋求內在平靜的暫停。無論平靜是否得著，我們都覺得現在是讓 TwoMONTHSperYEAR 重新開始的時機，以更緩慢，也更貼近我們的節奏展開。
我們將於 10 月 24 至 25 日重新開放，並希望之後每個月的最後一個週末都能與你相見。雖然我們無法長期承諾，我們會盡力讓它持續長大。

Since the very beginning, TwoMONTHSperYEAR has always embraced the cathartic dynamic between creation and loss, departure and rebirth, as an exhilarating medium to cope with grief.
Our very first product - The Land of Upmost Joy - followed the passing of my grandfather and found its name in the Buddhist mantra we recited for seven weeks while sending him to the afterlife and making peace with our history.
My grandfather used to fold cranes of various sizes on a daily basis, and that is how our signature dessert - CRANE - came to be.
The gesture of folding is both an act of remembrance and of renunciation — an endless chain of events that stretches beyond our own existential meaning, acknowledging that each moment that has come before is part of a process that never truly ends, where every fold is both an echo of history and a creation of something new: a letting go of what was while embracing what will be, never truly completed, yet always in motion.
There is a bittersweet irony in the fact that, as we were discussing this reopening, our beloved front-door manager cat “後玳“ passed away from old age. She had been with us from the very beginning until just a few days ago.
A free spirit, she honored us by returning to rest in peace at our side.
Hence, this reopening is also a farewell and a thank you to her unwavering companionship through storms and bright intervals alike.

自創立以來，TwoMONTHSperYEAR 一直以創造與失落、離別與重生之間的淨化性動態為核心，將其視為面對哀傷的一種令人振奮的媒介。
我們的第一件作品「極樂之地」誕生於我祖父離世之後，其名稱取自我們在為他超渡、並與自身歷史和解的七週之中不斷誦念的佛教經咒。
祖父生前每天都會摺紙鶴，大小不一，而這也成為我們標誌性甜點「鶴」的起源。
摺紙的動作同時是紀念與放下，一連串超越個人存在意義的無盡事件，承認每一個已然發生的瞬間都屬於一個永不終止的過程；在其中，每一次摺疊既是歷史的回響，也是新生的創造：一邊放下曾經，一邊擁抱將至，從未真正完成，卻始終在運動之中。
帶著一種苦澀的諷刺意味，當我們討論重新開幕的同時，我們親愛的前門經理貓「後玳」在高齡中離世。她自開店以來便一路相伴，直到幾天前的最後一刻。
作為一個自由的靈魂，她選擇回到我們身邊安息，以此向我們致以最後的榮耀。
因此，這次的重啟，也同時是一場告別以及對她多年陪伴、無論風雨明暗的深深感謝。
