❓ What to consider when working with motivation cycles❓
🟡 Life is a set of spheres and tasks
And the first thing we need to do to begin to understand motivation cycles is to imagine our life as a collection of these areas and tasks. Because otherwise we can't prioritize: what to do now — your body, lose weight, or a session, or children — what to grab?
For example, you approach the mirror and get upset: you think that you are not in shape right now, and throw all your strength at your body. But when you begin to see all areas of life, you realize that now you have other priorities and tasks, then there will be time to work with the body. And you understand that you don't need to grab everything at once.
🟡 Unplanned circumstances
In addition to planned life circumstances (for example, university studies, pregnancy, childbirth, recovery — some things that can be more or less planned), there are also unplanned ones that affect our lives: stress, mental disorder, an unexpected deadline at work.
🟡 Interest
The third thing that is important to consider is interest, a lively desire to invest my strength in something that is important to me now. If we start doing something without interest: to study, to train, to change habits, soon it gets boring — and we quit.
