Last week, we hosted a delegation from Next Media Services for a strategic discussion to explore areas for mutual collaboration. The meeting provided a valuable platform to identify shared priorities, discuss partnership opportunities, and explore practical avenues for collaboration that can deliver meaningful impact.

This morning, we joined the Coalition Against Illicit Alcohol (CAIA) Round Table Discussion, which brought together stakeholders to strengthen collaboration in addressing illicit alcohol in Uganda.

The discussion emphasised the need for a coordinated national response, stronger inter-agency collaboration, alignment of CAIA’s 2026 activities with national priorities, and the development of a joint work plan to guide immediate interventions.
It also highlighted the importance of ensuring that awareness and advocacy efforts are technically sound and aligned with national standards.

As a responsible brewer, we remain committed to working with government, industry peers, and partners to combat illicit alcohol and promote safer, regulated consumption environments that protect consumers and communities.

Over the weekend, our team took part in the Marathon held in Jinja City, bringing together over 2,000 runners in a collective effort to protect the River Nile and Lake Victoria.

This year’s run was focused on raising funds to support the replanting of approximately 247 acres (approximately 100 hectares) of the degraded Mayuge forest and expanding the installation of plastic trap gates across key drainage channels in Kampala and Jinja that feed into Lake Victoria and the River Nile.

Water is the number one ingredient in our beers and a shared resource for the communities we serve. Supporting the Run for the Nile is a natural extension of our commitment to being responsible stewards of the environment. From improving water efficiency within our breweries to supporting nature-based solutions like these forest restorations, we believe that collective action is the only way to secure these water sources for future generations
