You know how sometimes you run across something, and you just know it is meant to be yours? I fell in love with this kettle, rust and all. I figured it would just be a dust collector because there was no way I could use it....you guys... Rick's Cast Iron Restoration worked his magic! Look at those before and after pics!

Our local community has suffered a loss today. First Baptist Church of Abbeville, caught fire last night. Our thoughts are with all of the people that are touched by this fire. The first responders, police, fire department, and volunteers, thank you for doing what you can to keep our community safe.

While we think these cakes are really cool, we just don't feel they are safe. Open flames, ashes on food, smoke inhalation...it sounds like a great recipe for a bad day. Thank you for understanding.

My mother was laid to rest today. So many thoughts flood your mind in moments like these, and I could probably write an essay just trying to cover 1/4 of them but I won't do that. I will just say, she was only 56 years old.

Don't leave anything unsaid. If you love someone, tell them.

Take that chance. You might fail, but it is better than living with the regret of not trying.

Smile at a stranger. You never know how far that small gesture can go.

Go on that trip. You won't regret it, I promise.

Make the time for the things that make you happy. You can't get time back once you spend it, so spend it wisely.

Try something new. You might just find some joy.

Look up. There is so much beauty in the world, but you will miss it if you are always watching your next step.

Apologize. It won't hurt much, but it can bring peace to the people you hurt.

Love freely, even if it hurts a little sometimes.

My mother lived her life to the fullest, each and every day with no regrets. I hope that someone can say the same about me one day.
