The scrapyard goat bunker. Finally finished and installed so the goats don't have to live in the horse stalls during bad weather. Today's temperature... 70... sigh. :-/

Things I have learned about cows.

1. Cows have Ninja like skills and a whole herd can just appear behind you without making a sound.
2. Cows p**p a lot, don't feed them anywhere near where you want to walk.
3. Cows can jump! Fences, gates or people are no problem.
4. Cows love to watch you work.
5. Cows love to criticize your work by showing you mistakes in your fencing.

He's Boss and he knows it! I've tried to get good pictures of him but they've never really turned out. Today the weather was beautiful and he was in a good mood. He sat as if to pose, he even crowed and ruffled his feathers. These pics will do! :-)

If you are looking to plant something for food on the table, you can't beat potatoes! Everything else in the garden was long dead, but the potatoes thrived as the weeds overtook the garden. All this came from two potatoes that were left to sprout and then cut into sections.

On the Rum Runner, not a great day, Twiggy never stood up but we did get her upright 4 times and she ate and drank each time. She's very very sick..

On the Rum Runner, she just arrived laying on her side from malnutrition and simply waiting to die. We are trying to convince her that she really wants to live. I think we're going to call her Twiggy.

A reoccurring nightmare....

Literally seconds after telling someone how lucky I feel to be able to live on the Rum Runner I drive to the end of our driveway to find a small traffic jam on our little country road. When I look past the traffic I see the cause of the problem is 3 of our goats standing in the middle of the road blocking traffic in both directions. As I approach them in my truck they begin running away from me down the middle of the road. I stopped the truck and got out and called to them and luckily they stopped. I walked up to them I asked them "What the [email protected]#$??!!" to which they replied "baaaaaaaaaa". To which I replied "Yeah?!!. That's your excuse for everything!" I gathered my goats to and slowly walked them back to the farm with my neighbors smiling, and waving and following along behind me.

But I still love living on the Rum Runner.
