Who We Are:
Nors Family Farms is a 4th generation farm currently owned and operated by brothers Matthew and Kevin Nors. We raise Red Angus and Akaushi cross cattle for their exceptional meat quality. Our focus is on combining genetics adapted to our area and regenerative grazing methods to improve the soil.

The direct-to-consumer beef division of Nors Family Farms is managed by Kevin’s daughter, Kaitlyn Nors. She is a Texas A&M University Class of ‘26 Animal Science major. Her emphasis is on Meat Science with a minor in Agribusiness Entrepreneurship.

Since graduating high school, Kaitlyn has wanted to find a way to provide others with access to the high quality meat that she grew up with. In the summer of 2024, God’s timing allowed her business idea to become a reality. Her vision is to use the forage grown by her dad to produce nutrient-dense beef that benefits the land and the health of the consumer.

Howdy y’all! We are excited to announce that we are accepting whole, half, and quarter beef orders this summer. We have gotten great feedback from the customers that have already received their beef, and we do have a few left to offer for this season!

About our Beef:
- We cross our Red Angus cows to an Akaushi bull, which is a breed of Wagyu cattle. These genetics contribute to exceptional meat quality and flavor.
- Our steers spend their entire lives on pasture, born and raised on our farm in Abbott.
- We offer custom processing on whole and half purchases, ensuring it is cut and packed to your preference.
- We provide free delivery for our local customers, and charge a small fee for folks a little further outside of town.
