Today was hoof trims day, and this little punk thought he would pretend to be a myotonic (fainting) goat temporarily in an all out temper tantrum over having a lead on him. Just decided he would lay down and REFUSE to move with that on his head. Look at that smug face! 😑 Luckily, I have plenty of experience from toddler years casually scoping up a tempering toddler refusing to walk, and carrying them under one arm out of wherever we are. Which is exactly what went down after this pic lol 😂

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! We made sure the goats got a lot of extra cookies and carrots today as a festive treat 😋 Hope you and your families had a wonderful day! Ours was perfectly chill, just how I like it! I am thankful every day for this life, no matter the challenges ❤️ oh and for a husband that cooks SO good! 🤣

Lil' girl was not feeling so great today after disbudding yesterday. Gave her some meds and she's back to her normal self. I still needed to keep her inside with me tonight in the AC to keep an eye on her, and get her bottle feedings to make sure shes eating OK. Have to say, every time we have a temporary baby house goat it's a throwback to human baby stage where the kid can't be put down without screaming, so you gotta hold em everywhere you go! I maintained the standard 'football hold' all evening trying to get stuff done one handed to keep some mild peace in the house, she even did laundry with me lol 😆 She's currently super comfy, stretched out and totally passed out on my lap on the couch for cuddle session...which is a great excuse for me to finally sit still! Tonight was such a whirlwind since getting home I never managed to even change out of work clothes haha!

For the record, I'm Team ...which apparently the only thing they can agree on is...that goats are the worst. We've accepted something is deeply wrong with them, but we still talk to them. Emus are native to Australia, where they are considered a national symbol and appear on the coat of arms. They are also respected by the indigenous people for their cultural and spiritual significance. Geese are widespread across the world, but they are often seen as pests and nuisances that damage crops, pollute waterways, and harass humans . Emus have a clear advantage in reputation and status over geese.

Announcing babies on the ground! Biscuit had triplets yesterday, 2 bucks and 1 doe. Easy peasy delivery, all presented correctly thankfully so I just helped 'catch and clean'. The first born, biggest boy is by far the ham in the bunch. He needs all the attention, has all the energy, starts all the playing, and steals all the milk..not to mention his floppy ears are just icing on the cute cake 😂 Doeling is itty bitty one in the bunch, but we'll get her caught up 😊

Bucks will be banded and advertised to pet homes as wethers, and the doeling is staying with me to freshen because she's the first daughter from Sonny (Sunny Daze Blue Label) and I'm excited to see the improvements he's brought to us!
Loving all these cuddles 🥰 so if you need me, I'll be in the goat house for next few weeks lol

We got some new additions today! Look at these cute lil' fluffybutts! 😍 shoutout to Three Trees Farm LLC for hatching me out some gorgeous colorful layers! We've got some whiting true blues, maran, Silverrudd blues, aqua egger (silverrudd blue X leghorn), buff orphington/Rhode Island red mix. Naturally, the orpington is already the most cuddly, we knew that was coming haha! We retained its namesake from their farm, lil' squatty, hatched out of their favorite hen 😊 better not be a roo! 🤞Biscuit is due to kid too so this place will be full of cuddly cuteness, I love it, cant wait, eeek! 🤗🥰

Ps- excuse the PJs, but it's Sunday and we live in PJs on Sundays over here! 😊
