Good morning friends! I hope you are all well on this bright and sunny Tuesday :)
A couple of weeks ago, I told you I had a big announcement ( and I so badly wanted to post this last week, but needed to tie up a few more loose ends ), and the time has come!
Although this happened quickly, it is something I have been praying about for many months now. I was approached about 3 weeks ago by a local restaurant owner who said he was growning and needed extra space and my store space was perfect...would I accept a sub-lease agreement beginning August 1?? 😲😬 I was stunned initially, but it did not take me long to realize that this was an answered prayer and God brought it earlier than I expected!
So, what does that mean? Knife & Whisk, for the foreseeable future, will not have a retail store presence for walk-in customers any longer; but, rather will take orders for all of the yummy entrees, soups, breads, cookies, breakfast, etc. you have come to love and expect from me! I will establish a porch pick up system; and, in some cases offer delivery service. I will be offering Personal Chef and Shopping Services for those with special dietary needs, custom orders and anyone who does not like going to the grocery store!
The CATERING side of Knife & Whisk REMAINS UNAFFECTED BY THIS CHANGE! I am in the final stages of securing a catering kitchen just outside of Eula and I am thrilled with the way the Lord has worked all of these things out. Proverbs 3:5&6
Forgive me for such a long post, but there is a lot of info to share:
I will be open this afternoon after delivering 2 lunch caterings...I should be there around 12:30. I have some entrees and soups for sale. Come on in and see what I have and ask me about the changes. I would love to share the details that God has so perfectly worked out!
My last day open will be the 29th and my hours are going to be erratic until then due to the moving process. If you need something and you cannot catch me at the store, please call or text me at 815-546-9920! Or, you can message me here on FB. THIS WILL BE THE PROCESS GOING FORWARD!
I am having surgery on my left arm on 7/30 and will spend the month of August healing up so that I can get back to a more normal, and hopefully a lot less painful, pace. I will spend my time setting up my new state registrations and other necessary business items that need to be taken care of.
I will begin taking orders again the week of Sept. 7. I am also planning to begin offering a bi-monthly supper club where I announce a menu with entree and side options, a salad, bread and dessert that will be pre-ordered/paid and picked up at a designated time/location. I will use seasonal ingredients and menu options will be similar to things I have offered in the past on the pre-order menu.
I am so excited to begin this next chapter, and I am glad to have you all along for the ride with me! Stay tuned for more updates...
