The story of W.H. Green Cattle Co. began with horses.
In 1885, young William Henry Green purchased the Green Ranches with proceeds from the sale of horses, laying the foundation for a ranching legacy that continues nearly 150 years later.
Today, the Green family operates more than 150,000 acres across Stephens, Shackelford, Oldham, Hartley, and Motley counties. Along with their cattle operation, they maintain a broodmare band that provides the replacement horses their ranches depend on every day. Their commitment to quality horsemanship was recognized with the 2002 AQHA/Bayer Remuda Award, honoring outstanding ranch horse programs.
We're honored to have W.H. Green Cattle Co. represented in the WHC Ranch Horse Sale and appreciate the generations of ranching and horsemanship that continue to make their program one of the industry's most respected.
