Yesterday as a part of our week-long Delightful event, we held our first Teaching Kitchen of the semester!
By learning from our registered dietitian, Elodie, and our lead Baker Rebecca, in our mini cake decorating Teaching Kitchen, our students learned some cool techniques to transform a simple cake into a beautifully decorated masterpiece. We started with the basics by smoothing frosting and piping borders using different nozzles. Then, we explored more techniques like creating floral designs and writing with icing for elegant decorations. Each participant had the chance to practice on their own mini cake or cakes, experimenting with different colors and textures. By the end of the class, everyone had a uniquely decorated mini cake to take home and new skills to apply in future baking projects. It was a fun and creative session, perfect for beginners and experienced bakers alike!
Don't miss our final event of the week this Friday in celebration of Valentine’s Day! We’ll have a chocolate fountain, and have the students take part in a fun DIY chocolate fountain experience. Get ready to dip a variety of treats in chocolate and create some unforgettable memories!
