Food is more than just something to eat. You’re supposed to love it, respect it, and believe in it. If there has ever been anyone passionate about their food, it’s this guy, Chef Panther (Andrew McElroy). After leaving Blackberry Farms in TN, I have had the extreme pleasure of spending the past few weeks cooking and sharing the one thing that brings more humans together than anything else on this planet - and that is food.

Chef Panther put together our menu for our chef dinner a couple weeks ago and it absolutely blew my mind. Pumpkin babbaganoush? Potatoes fondant? Watercress salad w/ local apples and a fresh vinaigrette? Over the course of two days, he worked tirelessly as he prepared the finest meal I have ever had the fortune of tasting. He put his love into every ounce of each serving and wasn’t satisfied until it was perfect. It was truly inspirational and has made me really focus in on what the potential of Ridge and Valley Farms can be (will be?). If you truly love something and have the passion and desire to succeed, the sky is the limit.

Chef Panther took a new position as a production supervisor for Hormel Foods outside of Chicago. A different pace? Absolutely - but if you know this lovely human, you wouldn’t expect anything less. Proud of you brother and hope you make it back this way, soon. 👍💪👍 @ Lebanon, Virginia

Super appreciative to have had the privilege of being interviewed by Fun and Farm Time on Radio Bristol a couple weeks ago. My grandparents that live at this very farm used to huddle around an old radio and listen Farm and Fun Time when they were just kids. So crazy to have Radio Bristol here in 2018 interviewing me carrying on their tradition while we continue to carry on ours.

Had a GREAT evening at our hosted chef dinner on Monday night. Grateful for all the wonderful people who donated their time, resources, and thoughtful input. We did a lot of brainstorming and even had a sheet for taste testing notes. Most importantly though, we sat down and enjoyed a meal together about a product we not only feel good about - it’s damn delicious 😃😃
