Our Story
Field of Blessings Farm is a quality Nigerian Dwarf goat farm. First and foremost, it is our continued goal to improve the genetics of our herd and the resulting effects it will have on the breed overall. Already having exceptional bloodlines both in conformation and production, our latest endeavor is utilizing artificial insemination to introduce superior genetics in our herd. We test annually for CAE/CL to ensure herd health. We have a dedicated small ruminant vet that examines each of our kids within 2 weeks of birth and provides care to our goats, as necessary. We participate in the ADGA Plus Program, which includes Linear Appraisals (conformation appraisals) and Dairy Herd Improvement Registry (national milk testing) and 2020 is our first year in participating in the AGS Milk Program, as well. We have participated in some goat shows with success and enjoy the events and wonderful people we have become friends with. However, unrelated to our herd, we are limited in our ability to attend many shows or travel much of a distance, so showing our goats is not a priority for us. With relation to our herd, we recognize that the ability to maintain a CAE/CL clean herd is compromised every time we walk into a show ring, which is reason enough for us not to show frequently or in very large arenas.
If you are interested in a quality goat, we would love to be the farm to provide one (or more) for you. Please feel free to contact us with any questions. We are always happy to discuss our herd with you! Kimberly has received training and is a Certified Dairy Goat Quality Producer through Langston University’s E (Kika) de la Garza American Institute for Goat Research. We provide mentoring and experienced knowledge to our customers. We tell our customers that we can be involved as little or as much as they would like us to be once they purchase one of our goats, and we are so pleased that we have maintained relationships with the majority of our customers through the years. We have had many repeat purchasers, as well.
Because of what we put into our herd, the quality of our goats come at a premium. Our fees are very fair and are calculated with regards to the lineage, conformation, production, and anticipated outcome for each goat.
