Received a notification from one of our cameras overlooking a set of hives. We had a bear come through but did not bother testing the electric fence that is around our hives . It’s a good day for the beekeeper.

A beekeeper is always doing something related to the bees. It may be just checking hives to make sure everything is going good. Could be the messy job of collecting home or as today job is painting beehives for the future growth.

Definitely was a blistering day out here working all the hives. 89* plus bee jacket is better than any sauna you could ask for.

Going to be a busy day of checking hives. Lots of work to do. The new yard is ready to receive their second deep. Fence to finish also

Had to deal with bear damage this morning before work. The ladies were not happy one bit but all hives are out back together.

We are scheduled to inspect a new bee yard after being contacted by a landowner interested in leasing his property for beekeeping to facilitate pollination of his extensive fruit trees and flowers. This arrangement is particularly noteworthy as the owner will provide all necessary equipment at no expense to us. In exchange for managing the apiary, we will retain ownership of all honey produced, with the sole consideration being the provision of a single jar of honey to the landowner. Such mutually beneficial agreements are ideal, and it would be advantageous to encounter more proprietors with similar proposals.

We are now in the peak of swarm season for honey bees. If you see a swarm don’t kill them reach out and we will come remove them at no cost to you.
