Taking advantage of the warm weather to get some of the French lavender winterized. We don't cover this early, usually, but the tractor goes in for service next week. Glad we could work in the warmth this year. Snow fence helps to slow down the harsh winter winds across the lavender.
Not everyone needs to winterize their lavender, but we are high on a hill here and it helps the lavender to cover some of them over winter.

The lavender farm is now closed for the season. Of course we will be having holiday events that we will post and our online store is open 24/7/365 for shipping or pickup! We will reopen for the 2023 lavender season on Memorial Weekend.

Oh, my gourd! Fall is definitely upon us. We are open this Sat, 10-4 pm, and we are open both Saturday and Sunday of Autumn Glory weekend here at the farm!. Come on by and visit!

The last of the lavender harvest for 2022! This cultivar, Buena Vista, always gives a nice bloom in September. Even the honey bees enjoy the later bloom.

We are open Friday thru Monday for Labor Day Weekend. Stop by, grab a lemonade, some lavender ice cream, some lavender infused honey or bring a picnic lunch! We have some great sales, too. This is our last full weekend, but we will be open Saturdays thru Autumn Glory.

The end of summer is beautiful here on the farm. The hops are ready for harvest, the gourds are full, the autumn sedum and hydrangea blooms are turning pink, the sunflowers are blooming, and some of the lavender are pushing out a small second bloom.
We are open Friday-Monday, 10-5 thru Labor Day and then Saturdays only thru Autumn Glory. The weather is perfect for a picnic on the farm!

It is an indoor day for sure here in Garrett county. The farm store is stocked with so many cute new items you have to stop by and check them out! Of course enjoy a lemonade and cookies or ice cream while shopping. The weekend looks nicer to come by with your picnic lunch and to play a round of corn hole!

Stop by today. Still lots of color in the fields! Feed the chickens, gobble at the turkeys, take a picture at our sunflower photo booth, sit and enjoy a lavender lemonade or lavender ice cream, and enjoy a stroll thru the farm shop! We are now back to our Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10-5 pm schedule through to Labor Day.

It might be spring, but....
Killing weeds! Prepping the garden beds for zinnias, cosmos, and sunflowers. We use corn gluten and this torch, organic practices, to keep the weeds under control. It helps but the weeds are never ending.....
Marking the weed fabric where we will burn holes to plant new lavender plants...New Zealand Blue, Hidcote Pink, Big Time Blue, Royal Velvet and Riverina Thomas.

Our Story
We are a beautiful lavender farm located in the mountains of Garrett county, Maryland near Deep Creek Lake. We are open in the summers from Memorial Day through Labor Day typically on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. Our bloom occurs the end of June through mid-July and during the bloom we are open daily 10-5. Lots to see and plenty of space to enjoy the sunshine. We also have a nice farm store full of lovely products such as teas, soaps, body products, gifts, food products and more.
