We’re super excited about getting down in the dirt this year. We’ve planted snap peas, shelling peas, kale, collards, sweet onions, and carrots so far, been working on our fruit trees, shaping up all the herbs that wintered over well, and appreciating Marcy Canavan’s daffodils.
Wow!! Thank you all very much for your support. We're full for the season. We'll continue to post from time to time to remind you that we have jam, canned tomatoes, canned pears, and pickles for sale. (Let us know if you'd like any of those!)
UPDATE FOR CLARITY: The prices quoted are for the entire season. If you subscribe, you’ll get a box, as described below, each week for the whole season.
Hello! We hope this post finds you well. We’re looking forward to spring, and want to let you know about an exciting change at the farm.
This year we’re offering a limited number of CSA shares from the end of May to the beginning of September – 15 weeks. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares mean boxes of our best fresh produce and more ready for you each week of the growing season.
Each Thursday, you’ll get a box of fresh produce organically grown on our farm. This could include mixed greens, beans, berries, cucumbers, squash, zucchini, tomatoes, pears, herbs, sweet potatoes, and more. We’ll also include items like jam and canned goods, and bonuses like peacock feathers and recipes so that you have a full box even early and late in the season. Items and quantities will, of course, depend on what’s growing. You’ll get our best hand-picked harvest.
We’re offering three options instead of full and half shares; single, double, and family options will feed one, two, or several produce-loving people.
Single: $200
Double: $400
Family: $600
You can pick up your boxes at Plane In Hand Farm at 16504 Old Marshall Hall Rd., Accokeek, MD, on Thursdays. If you live within five minutes of our farm, we can often deliver for free. If you live within fifteen minutes of our farm, we’ll deliver for an additional $5/week.
If you cannot pick up or receive your box, you can gift it to a friend or forfeit it, but we cannot offer refunds if you miss a week. We may be able to hold your box for one day.
Since this is a commitment on both our parts, we cannot refund your money if you decide you do not want to continue with your season.
We look forward to providing you with delicious locally and organically grown food! If you have questions or would like to sign up, please contact Kelly by text/phone at 301-237-5040, at [email protected], or on Facebook messenger. Talk to you soon! Have a terrific week!

Throughout the growing season, we have continued Marcy’s work combating food insecurity. She always donated fresh and canned food, and we have as well – donating hundreds of pounds of fresh food to Fort Washington Food Pantry, who serve our neighbors in need.
We’re grateful for all the good work these folks and others like them are doing. A staggering number of people in our country are facing food insecurity, and we encourage you to join us in supporting our neighbors if you can. $6/pint
Organic sweet potatoes! Red or white for $1.75/lb up to 15 lbs. $1.50/lb. for 15 lbs. or more. We have all shapes and sizes. The red (orange) potatoes are the yams you’re used to. The white ones are in between those and Russetts. They are a truly all purpose potato with a hint of sweetness, but that work in any dish. These store well in cool temperatures. We eat them all winter long and into the spring.
Send us a message or text to order. We’ll set them on the table at the end of the driveway when you’re on your way to pick them up.
Happy autumn! 🍂
