Love playing with these talented players and it is always such a joy to sing with my daughter Keely. We're so looking forward to this benefit concert for the Fort Washington Food Pantry this Sunday, 12/17, 4PM. Consider donating to the Ft. Washington Food Pantry, 9801 Livingston Road, Fort Washington, MD. They serve 120-150 families a week. It's a worthy cause...Come join us for some great music. Jody Marshall and friends will also be adding a fantastic set of music!

We're excited to be joining a throng of spooky vendors at Post Punk Flea Market at Atlas Brew Works on Saturday, 11/25, from 1 - 7. This event is being produced by the devils on your shoulders at Fiction DC.

Whether you’ve been out haunting or fighting the haunted all night long, indulge in the comfort of returning to your lair to enjoy the simple delight of organically made jam at a small, local lab – er, farm – and sweetened with the tears of your enemies. Our secret ingredient isn’t love – it’s rage. Our fruit is grown in rich soil made of decomposed… leaves and… stuff. Reap what we sowed. From our cauldron to yours.

We have a bunch of organically grown, medium-sized squash and zucchini on hand for $2/each.

We’ve also been canning! In addition to our other flavors of jam, we now have super scrumptious strawberry-blueberry and strawberry-raspberry-mint. Jam is $7/pint if you return the jar, $8 if you keep it.

We have some pickles left as well (bread and butter or sweet chip; maybe a jar or two of dill left) and some quarts of tomatoes.

If you’re interested, please call or text Kelly at 301-237-5040. See you soon!

The growing season is underway, and we’re offering shares in our tiny CSA for the second year.

Our season will run from the end of May to the middle of September – 15 weeks with the option for us to take two weeks off as needed. Each week, you’ll receive a box of fresh produce organically grown on our farm. This could include mixed greens, beans, berries, cucumbers, squash, zucchini, tomatoes, pears, herbs, sweet potatoes, and more. We’ll also include items like jam and canned goods, and bonuses like peacock feathers and recipes so that you have a full box even early and late in the season. Items and quantities will, of course, depend on what’s growing. You’ll get our best hand-picked harvest.

We’re excited to announce that this year we’re partnering with the Alice Ferguson Foundation. The Foundation has generously offered us space to grow in their Children’s Garden, allowing us to both increase our capacity and also rest some of our beds to keep them healthy and productive in the future. We’re very excited about this partnership and appreciate them reaching out to us. Collaborating has been a lot of fun!

A single (one share) is usually enough for one or two people, or for someone who eats a lot of produce and is maybe supplementing their own garden. A double (two shares) is enough for two or more people who eat a ton of produce.

A single is $250 for the season ($16.67/week). A double is $500. If you'd like to sign up, please email Kelly at [email protected]. You can pay us any time before May 15. If you need to pay us in installments, just let us know, as long as you're committing to the season.

And, as always, we have jam, jelly, canned tomatoes, and a variety of pickles for sale every day!

Hi! As winter holidays approach, we want to remind everyone that we are open for sales year-round. During the cold months, we have jam, pickles, and canned tomatoes for sale. We can everything with our own organically grown produce and organic ingredients (except the strawberry and peach jam -- the strawberries and peaches come from our Mennonite friends).

Here's what we've got:
** Jam $7/pint (strawberry, raspberry, seedless blackberry, blueberry, strawberry-blueberry, raspberry-blueberry, mixed berry -- available with and without strawberry)
** Fig jam $5/half-pint
** Pickles (dill, bread & butter, sweet chip) $6/pint, $4/half-pint sweet chips
** Tomatoes $8/quart

Send us a text or message to order anytime. You can pick up at the farm. If you live within a few miles of us, we can sometimes arrange to drop off. Happy holidays -- whichever ones you celebrate!

Place an order anytime by messaging us here or texting Kelly at 301-237-5040. The jelly is $7/pint.

We’re super excited about getting down in the dirt this year. We’ve planted snap peas, shelling peas, kale, collards, sweet onions, and carrots so far, been working on our fruit trees, shaping up all the herbs that wintered over well, and appreciating Marcy Canavan’s daffodils.

Wow!! Thank you all very much for your support. We're full for the season. We'll continue to post from time to time to remind you that we have jam, canned tomatoes, canned pears, and pickles for sale. (Let us know if you'd like any of those!)

UPDATE FOR CLARITY: The prices quoted are for the entire season. If you subscribe, you’ll get a box, as described below, each week for the whole season.

Hello! We hope this post finds you well. We’re looking forward to spring, and want to let you know about an exciting change at the farm.

This year we’re offering a limited number of CSA shares from the end of May to the beginning of September – 15 weeks. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares mean boxes of our best fresh produce and more ready for you each week of the growing season.

Each Thursday, you’ll get a box of fresh produce organically grown on our farm.

We’re offering three options instead of full and half shares; single, double, and family options will feed one, two, or several produce-loving people.
Single: $200
Double: $400
Family: $600

You can pick up your boxes at Plane In Hand Farm at 16504 Old Marshall Hall Rd., Accokeek, MD, on Thursdays. If you live within five minutes of our farm, we can often deliver for free. If you live within fifteen minutes of our farm, we’ll deliver for an additional $5/week.

If you cannot pick up or receive your box, you can gift it to a friend or forfeit it, but we cannot offer refunds if you miss a week. We may be able to hold your box for one day.

Since this is a commitment on both our parts, we cannot refund your money if you decide you do not want to continue with your season.

We look forward to providing you with delicious locally and organically grown food! If you have questions or would like to sign up, please contact Kelly by text/phone at 301-237-5040, at [email protected], or on Facebook messenger. Talk to you soon! Have a terrific week!

Throughout the growing season, we have continued Marcy’s work combating food insecurity. She always donated fresh and canned food, and we have as well – donating hundreds of pounds of fresh food to Fort Washington Food Pantry, who serve our neighbors in need.

We’re grateful for all the good work these folks and others like them are doing. A staggering number of people in our country are facing food insecurity, and we encourage you to join us in supporting our neighbors if you can. $6/pint

Organic sweet potatoes! Red or white for $1.75/lb up to 15 lbs. $1.50/lb. for 15 lbs. or more. We have all shapes and sizes. The red (orange) potatoes are the yams you’re used to. The white ones are in between those and Russetts. They are a truly all purpose potato with a hint of sweetness, but that work in any dish. These store well in cool temperatures. We eat them all winter long and into the spring.

Send us a message or text to order. We’ll set them on the table at the end of the driveway when you’re on your way to pick them up.

Happy autumn! 🍂
