Buyer picked up his John Deere 235 disk today. This disk served three generations of our family farm well. I’m sure it will serve it’s new owner well too.

Buyer picked up his Case 2590 today. I was thrilled that we were able to get it started and drive it onto his trailer. I had written this baby off for the scrap yard. Plans are to fix some remaining issues and run the tractor. Really happy to see this happening. 🙂

Six-mile bayou by our house has run dry again indicating just how severe our drought is. The regular white “Cow birds”, herons and cranes feasted as usual when it goes dry. However, this year for first time we had Wood Storks join them. The Wood Stork was on the endangered list until recently moved to “threatened” status. They are very large white bodied birds with black under and around the wings. They have gray heads. It was pretty neat seeing our new visitors this year.

Finished up the early beans right before the storm today. Waiting for a break in the weather to load the truck.
