Good Afternoon Findley’s Butcher Shop Customers,
I first want to thank you for your support of our small business. Y’all are amazing and without you, we have no company. Over the years, especially during and after COVID, we have always tried to have our consumers up to date on any shifts in the market and how it will affect our customers. We have been monitoring pricing these past couple of weeks and the sharp increase has us concerned. This week’s pricing in our stores will remain unchanged but if the trend continues we will need to go up on certain items as soon as next week. The largest increase we have seen is on chuck rolls (used for chuck roast, stew meat, etc), ribeye, tenderloin and ground beef.
If you are able, please stock up on your beef items. Pork and chicken as of right now remain unchanged. Normally as beef prices increase the buying public will start buying more pork and chicken items. With this shift, it raises pork and chicken after a couple of weeks and hopefully halt increases in beef prices and/or even bring them down. This is how it has worked in the past but during that time everything across the board becomes more expensive (chicken, pork and beef).
To help out with this we are offering half off vacuum sealing on package deals. This is not an all or nothing service. You decide which items will be vacuum sealed. This will extend the shelf life of the items you purchase from 6 - 9 months to at least 2 years. You may call ahead to place your orders all week but must be paid in full in person ahead of time or through Zelle. If ordering ahead, you must pick your order up by this weekend as we are limited on space.
