Sincere Creek Pretty Poultry and Show Birds

Sincere Creek Pretty Poultry and Show Birds We are a small family owned business. We fell in love with the Orpingtons mellow personality and then had to have a gorgeous colored egg basket.

This is Ginger. So far we’re not huge fans of her but she does add a nice variety to the colors in our Easter Egger pen. She’s a full blood Orpington. She’s a little assertive and even though she’s the youngest hen in this cage, tries to bully the other hens, who are all sweethearts. So far she’s not shown any aggression towards any humans but she definitely tries to boss the other hens around. We cull for aggression towards humans. We sell our chickens and eggs mainly to young people who want their kids to experience the thrill of raising animals. I want this to be a positive experience for them. So any aggression isn’t tolerated. Hopefully she’ll continue being nice to humans

This is big Bertha. She is our favorite hen and is in our Easter Egger pen. She’s a purebred blue Langshan from show stock and a amazing mother. Last year she hatched and raised to adulthood 14 babies from one setting. She’s huge but very gentle unless your messing with one of her babies. Her eggs are large and have a purplish bloom or coating on them

This is Jenny as in Jenny from the Block. Shes super curvy and gorgeous. She’s still really young but has beautiful lacing. She’s a purebred blue Orpington. But her dark blues make her a perfect fit for adding variety to the Easter Egger pen. Although she’s so perfect, we may move her out of the Easter Egger pen eventually and get her a man of her own. We had decided against blues and then she hatches, looking perfect, so we may have to do some juggling. Her eggs are kinda a pinkish beige

This is Curly Sue and June. They are currently aiming to be co-mothers and will try to remove your hand if you mess with their eggs, so they opted out of the photo shoot. And due to their maternal hormones making them cranky, we let them have their way. But I wanted to show off Curly Sue in particular. She is a blue frizzled Orpington, which means her feathers are curly. So her babies have the potential to have curly feathers too. June is a purebred wheaten Ameracana. But she’s kinda a little girl, so you can’t see her to well. I’ll have to wait until the baby fever is over to get better pictures of them. But I think Curly Sue and the potential for a big frizzled chicken adds a nice addition to our Easter Egger pen

This is Turk. She’s named after the Turk in Tarzan for her gorgeous hair. She’s the only non purebred we have in the Easter Egger pen. She’s half Ameracana and the other half is mainly Orpington. But with that hairdo, I’m betting she’s got a little Polish in her. She’s smaller than the other birds but much faster. She lays a blue green egg

This is Martha. She’s named after Marty the zebra from “Madagascar”. She’s still pretty young but really mellow and pretty much minds her own business. She’s a Olive Egger and has just recently been put into the Easter Egger pen to add a little variety. Her father was a golden cuckoo marans and his line laid dark chocolate eggs. Her mother is Bertha our Langshan. She lays a dark chocolate colored egg. So by putting a rooster with the blue egg laying genetics over her, her eggs should be kinda a olive green color
