See you tomorrow at the Woodstock Farmers Market! We’ll have crunchy snap peas, fresh green beans, Chioggia beets, red beets, chicken eggs and sunflower bouquets! We’ll also have loads of delicious jams and picked veggies.

We’ll be at the Woodstock Farmers Market this week with free range chicken eggs, fresh green beans, beautiful fresh red, golden and Chioggia (candy cane striped!) beets. We’ll also have pickled red and golden beets, strawberry balsamic jam, lemon jelly and more!

Shown here are some roasted beets on top of sautéed beet greens, topped with goat cheese. Delicious!

What’s for dinner? We’ve had lots of questions about how to prepare beets recently, so thought we’d share some of our favorite ways to eat them. First is the Ukrainian soup, Borscht. It is LOADED with veggies and super nutritious. Make it your own by adding some jalapeños, herbs or topping it with rice. We’ll see you tomorrow at the Woodstock Farmers Market! We’ll have freshly picked strawberries (come early for the best selection), our local raw honey, farm fresh, free range chicken eggs. Also, stop by and get some graduation themed earrings for the graduate in your life. Or, grab a dog/cat toy for your four legged friend to enjoy!

This is a sad example of the extreme drought Georgia is experiencing right now. Some of our fields don’t yet have irrigation, which in past years, has not been a problem because of GA’s regular and frequent rainfall. While we’ve only lost plants, we know that many in south GA have lost homes, businesses and more.

It was great so be back at the Market today! And a huge THANK YOU to all those who saved egg cartons and jars over the winter for us. It makes a huge impact!
