One of our favorite places to go is Weisenberger Mill in Midway, Kentucky.

We grow non-GMO yellow corn that is delivered to the mill and used in many of their unique Ky products.

We’re proud to be a part of their story and share the fruits of our labors with all their customers. Please ask for Weisenberger products all over the state!

On September 30, we planted winter canola as part of a project with Corteva U.S. Bunge and Chevron

The project is working to expand winter canola production in our region and create another market for farmers. Once harvested, the canola will be used to produce plant-based oil for renewable fuels.

For us, it’s also a chance to add another crop to our rotation and see how winter canola fits into our operation.

We’ll share more as the crop grows!

Corn harvest is well underway at Walnut Grove Farms. We’ve been making steady progress through the fields and taking advantage of the good harvest weather.

Walnut Grove Farms was proud to serve as a Platinum Sponsor of the inaugural Boys & Girls Club of Franklin-Simpson Mini Golf Tournament!

We loved seeing the creativity behind each hole, especially those that Club kids helped bring to life. It made for a fun day of friendly competition while supporting a great organization in our community.

There’s still time to play! The course is open to the public today from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. and again next Saturday from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. ⛳

What a great couple of days at the Southeastern Grain Gathering!

Walnut Grove Farms was glad to be part of this year’s event. Sam Halcomb joined Quint Pottinger, Spencer Guinn, and Chad Lee for a session focused on the strategic plan for Bringing Rye Back to Ky, and John Halcomb moderated a discussion on managing risk and capital.

The gathering also gave us a chance to see some of these grains put to work, including rye loaves baked in a wood-fired oven and einkorn pizza.
