End of the chicken growing season is upon us!
I have probably 40 -50 various breeds of birds that I've been growing out in the 2 to 3 month old range that I will be offering first come first serve basis. I have Farm pick ups Saturday morning from 8 AM to 10 am any other times needed, an appointment can be arranged for you.
There are French black copper marans (sold as trios only because demand is high) ermine line Ameraucanas, olive eggers, blue production, Easter eggers, tolbunt and candy corn polish. Please text me to set up an appointment.

I have recently converted two of my pens to wood chips instead of my standard pine shavings. Although I love the way a run looks nice fresh and crisp with the clean pine shavings, I noticed the smell starting to creep back every couple of weeks even when I utilize the barn lime. I don't like using the straw or hay because it has a tendency to hold onto mites especially in the middle of summer.
The added benefit is I can get a big bag of wood chips for right around three dollars a big bag of the pine shavings is eight. I am on week three and there is no odor creeping back in! I will say that experiment was a win! The added benefit, is wood chips are carbon rich material which means they buy into the nitrogen and will create a nice buffer zone above a w

et surface when we have a lot of rain and it breaks down the nitrogen quickly, leaving a nice rich compost.

Just added a FEW more candy corn and Tolbunt polish to grow out. Next I will add some more FBCM and then my early year layers will be set for 2027 ♥️🙏
