Adi did a little partnership AI with our friends at Big Red Barn Boer Goats that produced two huge boys, one weighing 11.5 lbs, and the second at 12.6lbs.

Last year was rough and this red doe was no exception. She had three stillborn doelings, so this year we were all a little nervous.

The first Nebraska State Fair for us was a success! 👏We exceeded our expectations by far, with purples, blues, and a couple final drives. Kids also did great in showmanship!😀

Wow was it hot today!🥵 We took a few to a couple ABGA shows and left happy! Adi pulled a 2nd🥈 in class and the others sat 3rd or 4th🏅 the rest of the day.
We learn something new at every show and are excited to keep improving!
The kids had a good day last Saturday at the Nemaha Valley 4h Livestock show.
They all made it to a final drive, and Drake won a Reserve Champion Breeding doe 🥈
We had an opportunity to get one back that we sold last year as a comercial buck. The plan is to use him on a few does and see what he throws.

We had to pull the fur hats out for chores today, and the rest of the week by the looks of it!
Well, the last couple of weeks have been an absolute whirlwind!! We have had our fair share of ups and downs and it has tested the patience of everyone here at Mulberry Acres. Unfortunately, our kidding season has been a rough one, but we will remain positive and keep pushing forward!

Raising livestock can be so much fun and rewarding, but it can also be heartbreaking. Today was one of those heartbreaking times as we said goodbye to one of the girls that started it all for us. We lost MDB84 Pixie Pie (Pixie) and her baby because of birthing complications. These losses are never easy, but we will forever be proud of everything her and Adi accomplished together!
