So we had a bit of a mix up back in spring when a couple of does went into labor on the same day in the pasture and nobody knew who’s babies were who’s. At that time we separated those kids and when it came time to wean them we wethered the boys and DNA tested the girls to figure out who went to who. Well it turns out our guess was wrong:
Junie had a buckling
Maebree had a doeling

Then a doe we hadn’t intended on breeding had buck doe twins and we had to again DNA to find o it who the sire was. It turns out Periwinkles kids were sired by Iconic Anthora. We weathered the buckling and held the doe back and she is beautiful.

Just another day raising goats 😩 😆

This doe is the dam of our yearling G.O.A.T. LL Zarina. I can’t wait to see how Z does in the future. We are planning to show her in the Nebraska State Fair coming up in August. Congrats Mandy!
