FAQ
Q: Who do I contact about a customer service inquiry?
A: Contact 1-866-227-6829 for general customer service inquiries. Please call 1-800-868-8837 for questions about orders placed on our website.
Q: Do you have a company store?
A: We do not have a designated company store; however, it is possible to purchase products from our factory office during normal business hours (M-F, 8:00-4:30). Please note that we can only accept cash or check at this location. We also have many of our most popular products for sale on our website, www.goodschips.com.
Q: Are plant tours available?
A: Due to insurance limitations, we do not currently offer plant tours.
Q: What is the difference between the chips in the red bag and the chips in the blue bag?
A: The chips in the red bag are our "home-style" variety, and the chips in the blue bag are our "kettle-cooked" variety. The difference between the two is in how they're cooked. The home-style chips are placed in a continuous cooker; they enter at one end of the equipment and are mechanically raked through lard to the other end, where they emerge to be salted, cooked, dried, and packaged. The kettle-cooked chips are produced in large steel kettles. When the chips are placed in the kettles, the temperature is lowered, then increased slowly as the chips cook, producing a harder, darker, curlier, and crunchier chip.
Q: Why do some bags of chips seem fuller than others?
A: All of our products are sold by weight, and there are many factors that impact how full a bag may appear. Different batches of potatoes produce chips of varying sizes; larger chips will make bags appear fuller than those containing smaller chips. Additionally, modern packaging machines require bags have a certain amount of head-space; bags must be larger than the contents inside of them to ensure a proper seal. Shipping may also cause the product to settle, making some bags appear less full than others. An 11oz bag will contain 11oz of chips no matter how full the bag looks.
Q: Does Good's product line include other items besides potato chips?
A: Yes, in addition to our home-style, kettle-cooked, and BBQ chips, we also offer two types of cheese curls, party mix, thin and little pretzels, tortilla chips, and salsa.
Q: Where are Good's chips distributed?
A: We have distribution routes in the south-central Pennsylvania area that serve major grocery stores, independent grocers, markets, convenience stores, sandwich shops, and numerous restaurants. Independent distributors also serve several other states. If Good's Potato Chips are not available in your area, we offer many of our most popular items for sale in our online store, www.goodschips.com.
