Hey, parents, the end of the school year is almost upon us. Did you want a creative gift idea to thank your kids' teachers this year? How about local, hand-made soap? As a bonus, all of the money from the sales of our soap are donated to our local schools to help pay off lunch debt! We've got lots of different scents in stock right now. Visit our farm store at 2231 Ballenger Creek Pike, Adamstown, on Saturday, May 30th from 10am to 2pm to check out all of our different soaps. Or visit us at the Urbana Library Farmers' Market on Sunday, May 31st.

I'm trying to wrap my head around who we need to vote for in the upcoming elections, if we want to get rid of the Frederick County council members who think they work for the data center corporations. So I did some research and created this spreadsheet. It is a work in progress, and feedback and corrections are welcomed and encouraged. I plan on adding a column about campaign donations when I have time to dig into that. I used the Frederick News Post as my main source of information. UPDATE: It seems to be working again! I'm leaving this up for a bit, just in case it goes down again as they work to fix whatever the problem was.

UPDATE #2: Yup, they still working to fix things. Our website is up and down this morning. All will be smooth again soon, I'm sure, but for the moment, our website is unreliable. I will post an update when our website company lets me know that things are stable again.

So I woke up this morning to my computer being temperamental. After a reboot, it seems to have gained control of itself, except for one thing. I can't get into our website!! Is the website down or is it just our computers (and phone and ipad) being weird? We've got a call into our website company, so if you too are having problems with our website, we hope to have it fixed soon! (If you are NOT having a problem with our website, please let us know by commenting below. Well look who stopped by our farm store today!!! It was a nice chance to chat and to introduce her to Farm Hand #1, our high-schooler who happened to be in our farm store doing some tech support for me. He has been taking Government in school and we have been talking a lot about the current happenings in our local government. So, Urbana Library Farmers' Market, I've given up on waiting for my photographer (aka Farm Hand #1, who is our very busy tenth-grader) to finally have time to get me photos of our new soaps. I have some great new scents that I'm excited to show you, but you will have to wait and see them in person on Sunday at opening day of the market!! My new personal favorite, Mango, was one I made at the request of one of you, so a big thanks for that suggestion. Other new fun scents in the line-up this year: Lavender Mint, Dark Roast Coffee, Raspberry and Watermelon. Plus back again this year, our fan favorite Wildflower Breeze! Stop by our stand on Sunday and give them a sniff! (This photo is from last year, but we do have pink peony soap in stock again this year.)
