Well it's almost that time of year. For those of you that have been with us over the years, you know we close down deliveries for the month of September. It gives us a break and gives the field some rest.

The farm stand in Adamsville will stay open during September. You can stop by to pick up eggs, the last of the season's veggies, and maybe even some figs.

Dylan and I will be back in October to plant for winter.

Thanks to Betsy and the kids for a great summer season.

Just a heads up folks. This week the farm is going to be on a break from deliveries. That means Friday July 17 and Wednesday July 22 we will not be dropping off to your favorite pick up sites. We will be back on line with next week's offerings for July 24.

Season Three Vineyard is one of our Friday weekly drop off sites for CSA deliveries. They also offer great libations in a wildly comfortable setting. Did I mention the beautiful hound that supervises the place? It's worth a visit for truly local flavor.

Here's great local assistance for those wanting to small scale farm.

We farm, in our case grow veggies and fruits using regenerative practices, on less than two acres. We run a farmstand, CSA for about 50 families per week, and participate in the occasional farmer's market.

Day 1 - Introduction to Agriculture Business
Our first day focuses on an Introduction to Agriculture Business.
We will have presentations from Farm Service Agency (FSA), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), and AgriLife Extension covering their various programs that are available to help producers.
We will also have presenters covering Texas AgrAbility, the BattleGround to Breaking Ground Program, Rural Business Ideas, and basics of Agriculture Business planning.
Day 2 - Agriculture Options for Small Acreage Landowners
We will cover agriculture options for small-acreage landowners. In this, we will be looking at what type(s) of livestock and/or horticulture options that fit into the realm of small acreage.
Cost: $30 - drinks, snacks, and lunch provided both days
