Why are our spikes flat every morning?
Fred: 🤷♂️
Work continues in the greenhouses, this week we have been planting our 16 inch patio pots! Fred has been supervising, as always 🌸
Where are all our Supertunia Vista Bubblegum lovers? The first pink bloom of the year, with many many many many more to come 🌸
We are enjoying the warmth of the greenhouses this time of year as much as this little one 🌼
Our first two days of planting are complete! We are excited to see some green in the greenhouse again 🌱
We start planting in the greenhouse next week, thinking spring thoughts over the next few days! Stay safe out there ❄️🌸
Fred cat has been helping us get the greenhouses ready to start planting! Our first plants arrive in 2 weeks, we are ready to get back to it 🌱🌸
If you’ve been to the farm in the spring or fall you probably recognize Dan or his wife Jen. Dan is not only a great employee and our right-hand guy, but a phenomenal person and friend. He and his family could use some extra help right now, both monetary and with prayers/good vibes. If you are able to send either of those things his way, they would greatly appreciate it. We are also happy to collect any other donations at the farm to deliver to his family as well.
We ❤️ you Dan-O!
No one should have to fight cancer twice. Let's not make Dan go it alone. … Mary Jane Collins needs your support for Stand With Dan Fighting Cancer Again
See you in the spring! 🌸
That’s a wrap! We are officially closed for the 2021 fall season.
Thank you to everyone who came out this year to build memories and traditions with us at the farm. We appreciated your patience while we worked through the wettest, muddiest pumpkin season we’ve ever had (thanks Mother Nature!). The community’s support means the world to us and we thank you so much for a great season!
Happy Halloween, see you in the spring!
❤️ The Carpenter Family 🎃
What?! The end of pumpkin season, already? 😯
Tomorrow (Saturday) is our last day for the season! Get your donut fix, pick up your last minute pumpkins, and give Fred enough scratches to get him through the winter!
No wagon rides tomorrow, all other activities open but the farm is MUDDY. Wear appropriate footwear.
Open tomorrow 10-7
Pumpkin season starts tomorrow! The mums are beautiful this year, be sure to stop by!
Two sets of flowers delivered yesterday for weddings this weekend. This set up added the perfect touch to this beautiful church in Monroe!
Are you planning a summer or early fall event that needs an extra pop of color? We can help!
The mums are looking great! We open for pumpkin season (and mum sales) on September 18th, we will see you soon 🤩

Flowers are all delivered to the Lenawee County Fair & Event Grounds! If you are at the fair this week be sure to stop by the Bandshell to see our display and to enjoy a variety of entertainment that they have planned 🌸
The Supertunia Vista series never disappoints 😍

Delivered some planters to Madison HS Trojans for graduation today, congratulations graduates! 🎓
Our last day of self serve sales will be this Sunday, come check out what’s left!
We’ve had a few questions regarding unused fundraiser cards purchased from Madison HS Trojans Athletics or High Street Athletics. Here are some additional opportunities to use those:
1. We are still accepting them now for our self-serve veggies flats under the porch of the barn.
2. We will accept them in the fall for the purchase of mums.
3. We will honor them next spring.
Our season was drastically shorter than we had anticipated, we are sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you for helping us support these great youth programs!
These baskets for Blissfield’s graduation (Lane Street Blooms) turned out spectacular! Congratulations to all of the Lenawee County graduates 🎓
Self-serve veggie flats will be out daily on the porch of the barn while supplies last! Time to finish those gardens! 🍅🫑
*please bring exact change*
The greenhouses are officially closed for the season! Starting tomorrow we will be offering self-serve veggie flats under the porch of the barn. $1/ 4 pack or $10/ flat, cash or fundraiser vouchers only.
Thank you all for making this season great! We look forward to seeing you in the fall!

*if you still have custom planted pots that you haven’t picked up from us, please call or send us a message to schedule a pick up time*
Some beauties delivered to Downtown Tecumseh and the City of Adrian Government today! 🌸
We will be closing for the season this Wednesday, May 26th. We will transition to self serve sales on the 27th under the porch of the barn, the selection will mainly be veggies (lots of tomatoes!) 🍅
End of season sale:
Monday and Tuesday: 10% off
Wednesday: 30% off
We’ve sold fast this year, but there’s still lots of beauty left!
*Reminder we will be closing at 6 tonight to attend a family event*
A couple of announcements from Fred:
🌸We will be closing early, 6 pm, on Saturday to attend a family event. Sorry for any inconvenience.
🌸This will likely be our last weekend open for the season, the tentative plan is to close towards the end of next week. We may transition to a self serve selection of flats in front of the sales barn at the end of the week for any product that is remaining. Please stay tuned for updates!
Holy moly guys...what an insanely busy couple of weeks! We are getting down to slim pickings on some items: hanging baskets, patio pots, and 4 inch pots are all very limited. Flats and veggies still have a decent selection. 90% of what we sell is grown here starting in February, so unfortunately when it is gone, it is gone.
If there’s one thing that has been clear this year it’s that we need to add a few more greenhouses in the near future. When we ventured into this business in 2016 we had no idea what would come of it, we can’t thank our community and customers enough for helping us turn this business into something incredible!
With all of that, we will be posting a closing date soon. Keep an eye out here for updated information in the next few days. Thank you, thank you, thank you ❤️🌸
A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out today for the craft show, we had an awesome group of vendors and a great turn out of shoppers! We look forward to making the spring craft show and yearly event!
A note from the greenhouse: things are selling quick, just like last year. Don’t wait to get out to get your plants!
A note from the Donut Hut: we are completely out of donut mix after a great day today, but unfortunately that means there will be no donuts tomorrow. The donut machine will be on break until the fall!
Tomorrow is the craft show, over 40 local crafters will be set up out on the back lawn with some great items!
Craft Show runs from 10 am-5 pm
Greenhouse is open 9 am-7 pm
*there is no admission fee to browse at the craft show, all vendors spaces are filled*
Wishing all the moms a very happy Mother’s Day today, and an extra special shout out to our mom! 💕
Thank you to everyone who came out to the farm this weekend, you all are AWESOME! If you have purchased plants keep an eye on the low temps over the next few days, we’ve got some nights in the low to mid 30’s. Cover your plants or bring them inside to help them get through this (hopefully last) cold spell!
We are ready for Mother’s Day weekend!
Fresh flower arrangements, hanging baskets, patio pots, adorable planters, home decor, and even donuts (while supplies last)! What more could mom want?
Our sale of the weekend is $2 off all hanging baskets and $2 off 16 inch patio pots! 🌸
Mother’s Day Sale: Tomorrow-Sunday!
And don’t forget: DONUTS Saturday and Sunday while supplies last! 🍩
Last chance to get your guesses in, winner will be announced tomorrow!

With the current virus situation, we are doing what we can to make sure your shopping experience at the greenhouse this spring is safe for all. One way we will be doing this is by launching an online ordering site! The website will allow you to shop online and schedule a pick up time. We are working hard to get all of our product on the site with pictures and descriptions to help make your shopping a breeze! Stay tuned for updates over the next couple of weeks, we hope you are all excited to get planting 🌱
*Mother's Day Sale!* Friday through Sunday take $2 off all hanging baskets and $1 off all 6 inch pots. Get mom the perfect gift! Gift certificates, decorative pots, vegetables, and more also available!
We are about a month out from opening for the season! Here is a sneak peak at what has been going on inside the greenhouses 🌸🌱
New this year! Perennials - which are ideal for the gardener who desires a longer term relationship with their plants. They will come back year after year providing the base for a beautiful display. We have a selection of both sun-loving and shade tolerant varieties to meet your specific needs.
If you enjoy creating your own pots and containers we have a great selection of 4 inch pots to let your creative side come out. If you would rather let us plant your pots - bring it in and we will help you find the perfect color combinations. One week until opening day! April 22, 2017
Are you ready for spring? We are!! Hanging baskets are blooming and plants are growing with this sunshine and warmer weather. One week until Opening Day - April 22nd. We will highlight our offerings this week and give you a taste of the many choices you will have at Carpenter Greenhouse located at 2534 E US Highway 223 - just one mile east of Walmart / Lowe's / Meijers in Adrian, Michigan.
Send some positive vibes our way, the wind today is causing some major damage to the greenhouses. We got the 10,000 plants in that house moved into our other houses, but it sure feels like Mother Nature is out to get us! 😞
Do we have Begonia and Fuschia Hanging Baskets - Sure we do! Apricot, Dragon Wings, Bonfire Orange, and Scarlet and so many color combinations for the Fuschia. They are starting to bud and their delightful colors can either be a statement piece by themselves or a theme for your display.
Petunias, Millionbells, and mixed hanging pots are abundantly growing. Don't worry if you have your own containers we have plenty of petunias to help you fill out your own and even match some of our beautiful creations. Almost makes you want to go out and add a porch to your house just so you have more places to hang the gorgeous colors!
Carpenter Farms Greenhouse, LLC was started in 2016 by the Carpenter family: Matt, Kelly, Jake, and Abby. Jake and Abby are part of the fifth generation to live and work on the farm, located right outside of Adrian. The business was started as a way to expand our existing pumpkin business that operates during the fall season. The greenhouse specializes in hanging baskets, patio pots, annuals, perennials, tropical plants, and custom planting. We are proud to offer Lenawee County and beyond high quality, beautiful plants that will flourish and bloom all season long!
