We have had very eventful and busy few weeks trying to secure our flock from the Spring time predators. We sadly lost a few of our hens to those hungry Spring time mommas but we seem to have finally fixed our problem. We are so sorry we haven't been open, but we needed to make sure our hens were safe and sound before anything else.

We will be opening up the egg stand once again this afternoon to share all these beautiful eggs we are blessed to get daily. We thank each and every one of you who have stuck it out with us in our learning experiences.

Happy Valentine's Day AND Egg stand re-opening day!!

We have the stand back open today! The ladies have been laying, but were still figuring out how to have the eggs not freeze at the stand as temperatures dropped. Hopefully we have figured out a temporary solution. Always trial and error, THEN success around here 😆

And the eggs just keep on coming. First collection of the day.

Did you know it takes from 25-28 hours to lay a new egg? Some of our hens are like clockwork now that they are older. Same time everyday. The 2021 chicks are just trying to figure out their first winter so we find their eggs at random times still.

You can find us at the coop multiple times a day to make sure we grab every egg. Even more during freezing temps! Honestly, they are just fun to hang out with and hard to keep kids away from🥰

We are starting to get multiple tiny white eggs alongside our super layer Snowy's eggs who gives us one large to double yoke a day. Which means our spring chick White Leghorns are starting to lay!! Which means all our other chicks are only a few weeks behind!
