FABULOUS WEATHER ALERT…

Theo is not dead in the pasture. Stiff legged, dead man sleeping is his favorite position on these gorgeous days. 😂😂😂

Some days they’re all down at once and it looks like we have a gas leak. This is not only normal behavior it’s a sign of a healthy and happy herd. In order for horses to sleep like this they must feel safe and I’d say that’s a pretty good sign if our blind senior pony with a locking stifle can sleep this sound! ❤️

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mommas of all kinds out there! Especially the heavenly mommas that are so very missed but also so very present in our every day lives.

The babies are doing great! They will head back outside today once their warming center is up in their pen. They will likely still need bottles as nursing from mom just may not happen, which is ok because the bottle feeding is working for them. I know their mom will be so excited for them to be back with her!

Zira the black and white girl goat will be staying here forever and the boys have the most perfect home ever lined up for when they’re ready to go. ❤️❤️❤️

Rain had her triplets yesterday in the afternoon. Quick and smooth birth with no complications. 3 healthy babies!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ With the help of a friend we attempted to help them figure out nursing for a few hours but mom and babies were just not able to figure out it. So we now have 3 bottle babies. The black and white girl will stay with us. The boys will be looking for homes very soon! Mom is doing great and is providing lots of milk for them and milking like a champ for a very inexperienced owner! She’s being very patient with me! Stay tuned for many many more videos because they are just the cutest!!!!

Today at church Pastor Dan talked about the difference between Joy and happiness and it was so relevant to our show at Harry Hughes yesterday. There’s so much going on in life right now and that sometimes takes away from the happiness in these moments. The one thing that never changes is the JOY that comes from our time together as a barn family. Thank you Kayla for the awesome photos as always.
