Sorry for the late update. Our last calf was born a week ago. Mama was sneaky on us this year and gave birth without us catching her on the camera. I noticed a calf hanging around her during the day but she's such a great Auntie that it wasn't anything unusual for her to have calves around her. It wasn't until the nightly round up that we realized there were 10 calves (that was after counting about 6 times to make sure)! I'll try to add a picture tomorrow!

The herd took a little break in calving but tonight we welcomed calf #8- another little bull calf! We have 2 more expectant mamas that should be giving birth soon!

Saturday evening we had our first heifer calf born on the farm! Meet Simone! Our granddaughter named her after Simone Biles. She said Simone Biles is a strong female who overcame a lot of adversity just like our little heifer. Simone had a little bit of a rocky start. Her mama wasn't too crazy about her but after some time in the bonding pen the two are doing well!

Sorry I'm a little behind an updates. Friday afternoon we had a second calf born. Calf number five is a little bull calf.
