Many apologizes for such a hiatus on this account!! We have had ours hands incredibly full since our twins came into the world in April!! Add all the farm animals, I (Kevin) working full time while my wife (Angela) stays home to give our kids the best care anyone could give them! It's been a little rough to say the least, but so well worth it! I unfortunately have not had much time to spend outside taking pictures of the happenings around HHF, so for the time being here is a photo of our marshmallow cat "Ava" intently helping her toad buddy catch moths for a snack...literally, she was swatting them out of the air in which the toad would then eat them...now that's what I call teamwork!
Stay tuned for more post from us in the future!! We appreciate and love all the support as we get our farm growing bigger and bigger!
Much love from all of us at HHF! ❤

First of all I want to give a HUGE shout out to for her chick electrolyte recipe. Without it, this little ball of fluff would most likely have not survived!
While attempting to mix a group of chicks and ducklings this little one somehow managed to get trampled to the point where my wife wasn't even certain it was alive. It was breathing incredibly shallow and was completely limp. After I got home from work I whipped up some of Jill's recipe and gave it a few drops every 15-20 minutes for a few hours and my wife was completely amazed at how much it perked up with just some chick Gatorade!
Fast forward to the next morning and it was up and pecking around with its Svarthona cross pal, that never left it's side during what was expected to be a grim outcome. I have read of chickens having a special friend, but this really showed true testament to that! We will snap some buddy pictures to show how inseparable they are!!!
Thanks for a life saving remedy Jill, it really was a legit lifesaver!! ❤❤❤❤❤

Can't believe I never posted this for this week! I literally went to the coop to get one specifically on Friday...and well apparently and I never made it that far! 😂
Well, a few days short, but here is one of our fat ISA Browns we got last spring. Such beautiful birds with awesome jumbo eggs 99% of the time! What's your favorite breed out there? I'm not sure if we could even narrow it down for ourselves! Comment below! Love to hear from everyone! ❤❤❤❤

Remember those tiny, cute little webbed feet babies we had not to long ago (scroll left)? Well, they aren't little anymore and have successfully integrated into the flock!! It's so funny watching now 2 distinct flocks forage the yard! So amazing how bird species just know their own. For those hoping for more cute little ducky pictures, fear not. We have more in the incubator right now! Along with some other things! 😉😏🤔
Stay tuned to see the cuteness overload!!

So we would first like to apologize for our hiatus. Life has been hectic the last couple months. We did however just get this video of a Khaki Campbell duck embryo moving in the egg. This is batch number 2! We will get pictures of the new "ducklings" that have integrated into the rest of the flock successfully! Enjoy this little miracle!!

FINALLY! After 23 months of infertility, 7 months of fertility treatment, 6 IUI cycles, 3 pregnancy losses, surgery, intralipid infusions, countless pills/shots, endless ultrasounds and blood draws, tons of trips to Syracuse each month, and lots of heartbreak and tears Kevin Bullis and I are more then happy to announce we are pregnant! Not only pregnant but we have been double blessed with fraternal twins!! We are so happy and thankful for the wonderful team of doctors and nurses that helped make this possible! As well as our family and friends who have been by our side while going through it all 💘

On September 2, 2o17 we parted ways with one of the best chickens anyone could hope to have. "Pat" had been showing symptoms of not feeling herself, so after a trip to the veterinarian we found out she was suffering from egg yolk peritonitis, which is inflammation and infection of the egg yolk in the chickens abdominal cavity.

After 2 days of antibiotics, pain medication, warm epsom salt baths, and lots of love and sunuggles we sadly had to have her put to sleep.

You were an irreplaceable chicken Pat, with your huge fluffy bottom, laid back attitude, and how you always marched to your own beat. We will miss seeing you strolling out of the Pines to join everyone for a treat. You were such a joy to have in our lives and we will miss you immensely. Until we see you on the other side our sweet feathered lady.

R.I.P. Pat we love you and miss you!
