The Great Smoky Mountains were more than home to Dolly Parton, they were part of her story. The mountains shaped the songs she wrote, the stories she told, and the way she saw the world. And throughout her life, Dolly never stopped sharing her love for these places, inviting generations of people to discover their beauty and find a little bit of that mountain spirit for themselves.

Hi! With the start of school & football season, our farm has many new friends!

We just wanted to say hello & let you know a little about what we do. We’re BK & Kim Parsley & we’ve owned Broken P Farm in Afton for 11 years. We raise American Wagyu cattle— a cross between Angus & Wagyu cows that is known for good marbling. And delicious hamburgers.

Our cows are pasture-raised, living in the field eating grass (& hay in the winter). Our steers are grain-finished (feed, corn, & hay) and locally-processed.

Our beef is vacuum-sealed and hard-frozen, freezer safe for at least a year. We usually process beef every other month. We do offer whole and half-beefs (waiting list into 2027), but most of our customers buy individual cuts and hamburger by the pound. Order what you need, when you need it!

5 ribeyes, 1 tenderloin filet? We’ve got you!

During football season, there is a 10 # limit on hamburger per order— we provide the hamburgers for GHS & WGHS football games. If you see us grilling, stop by and say hello!

Order online at: www.brokenpfarm.com & pay by credit card. We will contact you to arrange delivery- please check your email!Same day service may be available if you order by 10am.

Cash sales can be arranged for repeat customers- contact us for details.

We offer $5 home/work delivery in Greene County several times a week.
We also meet customers at Tractor Supply a few times a week at no charge.
Farm pickup is also free but is by appointment only.
We do deliver to the Tri-Cities or Knoxville area on a limited basis (fee based on distance- contact us for more info).

B. K. and Kim Parsley own and operate Broken P Farm in Afton, TN. It is family owned with premium Angus & Wagyu Beef and is believably sustainable.

Whoo hoo!

It has been an above-average hot & humid summer in Greene County 🥵 .
Plenty of rain- which is great!- but so muggy.
We’ve worked outside a lot this year, and BK & Kim, Bill, and the herd are thankful for a cool day today and hopeful for a cooling trend to develop.

And then Kim would love another 10” of snow this winter!❄️

BK improved the grading of the corral and put down fresh bedding for the calves.

There was going to be a cute video of the cows playing in the straw, but they took a detour and ran around unsupervised in the pasture and required cowboy stuff

Kim got hot and Kim is not at an age where she likes to be hot, so everything at the farm got yelled at today. Kim went and got a Mt Dew and now is in a better mood.

Have cows, get hot. Go farming.
