BCB // Bar Convent Brooklyn was a blast with a LOT of cool brands and products being served not least those at the UNDONE bar where our very own Spirit Specialist Connor Green was slinging drinks and having a high time. .usa & .usa hosted a top tier experience not least for their inclusive approach covering Adult-Non-Alc, Low & Slow, and traditional cocktails with compelling drinks across the board. Lifelong friends JD Recobs and Chris Buglisi started Misunderstood Whiskey in their kitchen in Montclair, New Jersey, with a simple goal: to make whiskey accessible and fun for everyone. Noticing that standard whiskey was often "misunderstood" and too harsh for beginners, they spent four years developing an approachable, botanical blend. By infusing premium American whiskey and bourbon with natural ginger, they created a smooth, refreshing spirit that became a fast hit. Misunderstood officially debuted at the Jersey City Whiskey Fest and completely sold out within two months of its first batch.

Allow us to introduce you to a new favorite, mid-afternoon cocktail: the Espresso Tonic, built here with Thomas Henry Tonic and Nespresso over Minnesota Ice in a Riedel DSG Highball Glass for what might be the most conveniently quick pick-me-up. Unto itself, this is both refreshing and yet gently bitter, umami and even salty with an appetizing edge, combining these two ingredients into something entirely new and delicious. Enjoy!

The latest release in an varietal rye series from Far North Spirits.

MUSKETEER: is a premier winter rye variety prized for its remarkable cold-hardiness and robust flavor, making it a natural choice for our northern Minnesota farm distillery. Musketeer thrives where other varieties falter. Musketeer’s large, uniform kernels and resistance to lodging made it a favorite among northern farmers for decades. First planted on Section 10 of our farm in 2020, this variety represents the perfect bridge between mid-century agricultural innovation and modern craft distillation.

Base Ingredients: 95% Musketeer Rye, 5% Malted Musketeer Rye (malted by Vertical Malt in Crookston MN)

Processing: Hammer milled and mashed on site.

Fermentation: Open top fermented with house selected yeast

Still: 500 Gallon Hybrid Pot Still with 8 plate column by Vendome Copperworks.

Distillation: Double distilled to 150 proof.

Age: 4+ years in Minnesota oak barrels from Black Swan Cooperage in Park Rapids, MN Non-chillfiltered.
