Before You Eat That Tomato… Save the Seeds!
What if one of your favorite farmers market finds could become next summer’s harvest?
Saving seeds from an heirloom tomato is much easier than you might think and you don’t need a farm or even a backyard to give growing your own food a try. A sunny porch, balcony or small patio and a container can be enough to get started!

We’re breaking down the process step-by-step, from choosing the right tomato at the market to saving and storing its seeds for next season.

It’s a simple way to waste a little less, learn a little more about where our food comes from, and discover the joy of growing something yourself.

Save a little summer now. Grow a little something next season.

July tastes like sunshine in a skillet.
Our Charred Corn & Tomato Skillet with Hot Honey is sweet, smoky, bright, and a little bit spicy; the perfect way to celebrate peak summer at the farmers market!
Serve it with sourdough, toss it with pasta, load it into tacos… or just grab a fork and eat it right out of the pan. We won’t tell.
And yes, you can even make your own hot honey at home with just 2 ingredients (recipe below!).

Ingredients:
½ cup honey
1–2 teaspoons red pepper flakes (more for extra heat)
Instructions:
Add honey and red pepper flakes to a small saucepan.
Warm over low heat for 3–5 minutes - don’t boil!
Remove from heat and let steep for 10–20 minutes.
Strain if desired, or leave the flakes in for a stronger kick.
Storage: Keeps for 3 months in a sealed jar at room temperature.
