THIS WEEK’S W**E EDIT 🍷
From the hills of Le Marche, Italy, to up high in Alsace, France. Two w**es worth getting to know.
🇮🇹 Sartarelli Tralivio (Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi d.o.c. Classico Superiore)— If you’ve never really gotten into Verdicchio before, please start here.
Sartatelli is one of the benchmark producers of this local white grape, working from the old vine hillside, Tralivio, to show exactly what great Verdicchio can do. Bright citrus, apricot, spring herbs, and that unmistakable almond finish so distinctive of Verdicchio. It has freshness, but also texture and substance that pair beautifully with dishes like grilled sea bass, roasted chicken with herbs or wild mushroom risotto. 🤌
🇫🇷 Kuentz-Bas Pinot Noir 2025 — Alsace may be celebrated for its white w**es, but its Pinot Noir deserves a little time in the spotlight. This one is a beautiful example of the region’s lighter, more elegant style, with juicy wild strawberry, sour cherry, subtle earthiness and a whisper of spice. Silky, lively and wonderfully expressive, without the weight of bigger reds. Pack it in a picnic basket, take it to polo, and serve it slightly chilled alongside a plate of charcuterie. A serious contender for your new favorite fall red. 🍂
Both bottles under $30, and equally lovely alongside dinner at home or opened here at Vignette with a few small bites from our bar menu.
