A huge thank you to each person who joined us at Westobou last Saturday night for Re-framing the Feast: Befriending Our Inner Demons! What an idyllic evening it was - we heard more about the art gallery from the Executive Director, Matt Porter, while surrounded by some gorgeous pieces from local artists.

Providing a thought-provoking exploration of our night's theme, Tara DeLoach encouraged everyone to take a look at the "demons" we all keep inside. Several stunning w**es from Vignette Bar & Cellar, a craft cocktail (thanks to Durty Gurl!), and an incredible selection of plates from Jenn Kraus of Uprooted, Vegan Cuisine, Chef Norm from Chef's Table, and Wisdom of Food. Guests left with full bellies, and a beautiful hand-painted glass from Rhian Swain.

We're so grateful for the entire experience, and we hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did! Thank you to Westobou again for hosting - we couldn't have asked for a better venue, or better partners. And to our chefs, those who helped with service and everyone who contributed to the dinner - thank you, we couldn't have done it without you!

A message from Arpoo: I am so excited to see you all tomorrow! We have a slight change of plans I just wanted to let you know; Chef Kim can't make it due to a family emergency.

Worry not, we still have a great lineup of courses coming from Chef Jenn Kraus from Uprooted, Vegan Cuisine, Chef Norm from Chef's Table, and myself, Wisdom of Food. All of our delicious plates will be paired with extraordinary w**es by Vignette Bar and Cellar.

Please keep Chef Kim Holland and her family in your thoughts. We'll see you Saturday at Westobou!

Making plans for the weekend?

Head to Westobou for a unique farm to table experience that's more than a dinner party. We're spending the evening getting better acquainted with the parts of ourselves we usually prefer to keep out of polite conversation: the anxieties, self-doubts, and inner critics that tend to make themselves known at the most inconvenient times. And we're doing it with a six-course meal, local art, and some fabulous w**e pairings.

Something special is happening this Saturday, October 17, at Westobou in downtown Augusta!

Re-framing the Feast: Befriending Our Inner Demons is a unique evening bringing together beautiful food, art, w**e, and meaningful conversation.

Chef Kim Holland has created a six-course dining experience inspired by Westobou's current Magpie exhibition, featuring artwork by Jaime Bull, Victoria Dugger, and Didi Dunphy. Each course thoughtfully reflects elements of the artwork through flavor, color, texture, and presentation.

The evening includes:

🍽️ Six-course dinner featuring fresh, local ingredients

🍷 Six w**e pairings + a signature cocktail

🎨 A custom piece of art by Rhian Swain for each guest to take home

🌿 A thoughtful conversation with Tara DeLoach, LMFT, about approaching our anxieties, self-doubt, and inner critics with greater compassion and understanding.

Joining us for our next dinner is local artist, Rhian Swain, whose talents extend beyond illustration into photography, graphic design & web design, radio & video, social media and apparently anything she attempts! Rhian has been exhibiting and selling artwork regularly for 40 years. She works in many mediums, including acrylic, watercolor, multi-media and oils, and she loves to infuse symbolism, and humor into her pieces. Bright colors are often a signature in her work.

We're so excited to announce that Rhian will create a beautiful custom work of art for each guest to take home—a keepsake from an evening spent dining with the parts of ourselves we don’t always invite to dinner.

In the company of the whimsical artwork of Jaime Bull, Victoria Dugger, and Didi Dunphy, come hungry, stay curious, and bring an open mind. Your demons have already RSVP’d.
