Join us Saturday for Session 7: Understanding Protein, where we’ll explore the nutritional differences between meat sourced from small, local farms and conventionally processed options, and how factors like feed, environment, and handling can influence everything from quality and nutrition of the meat we eat.

We’ll also take a closer look at pork, chicken, lamb, and beef, learning a what each has to offer and how to make the most of them in your everyday meals!

🐓 This session will feature a live chicken butchery demonstration, offering a hands-on look at whole-animal cooking and helping build confidence and connection with where our food comes from.

Don't forget! Fika is tomorrow morning at Clear Lake Gardens 10-noon. It's a free community event. Grab a cup of coffee or herbal tea and a tasty treat (like lavender lemon cookies) while visiting with friends. Pick your own flowers, tour the fall garden and find the perfect pumpkin too.

Winter Evergreen Porch Pot
Design your own outdoor evergreen pot with fresh evergreens from Clear Lake Gardens family tree farm. Step by step directions will be shared by an experienced floral designer to create your one of a kind holiday pot. Assorted evergreen boughs, birch branches, red dogwood, pine cones, ribbon, fun bling, the pot and soil will be provided. A bow making lesson will also be taught. Please bring garden gloves, and anything special from home that you'd like to include in your arrangement. You will need space in your vehicle to transport this finished design which will be about 36" wide by 40 inches tall.
