Summer Solstice Celebration

Saturday, June 20, 2026

Join us for a beautiful on-farm gathering, honoring the arrival of the summer solstice — a season of growth, vitality, and celebration to the light.
Set against the backdrop of the farm at the height of early summer, this immersive evening will showcase the richness of Minnesota’s local food systems through thoughtfully prepared seasonal bites featuring fresh farm produce, foraged ingredients, and locally raised livestock.
Guests will experience the flavors of the solstice through vibrant grazing boards, handcrafted small plates, botanical beverages, and community celebration.
This event is designed to reconnect us to the land, the farmers who steward it, and the joy of gathering around truly seasonal food in community with one another.

A variety of local sausages from Righteous Oaks Farm
Seasonal pickled and roasted vegetables from Clear Lake Gardens
Homemamde whole grain mustard in
Minnesota-made cheeses from Red Headed Creamery
Seasonal fresh fruits and fruit preserves
Red lentil hummus
Tzatziki with yogurt from Murphy’s Grove Micro Dairy Farm and locally-sourced cucumbers and dill
Homemade rye sourdough crackers made with grain from Ole Lakes Farm
Various colorful microgreens from Bubba’s Botany Microgreens

Cornmeal bellinis with cabbage and kale veggie sliders, topped with Murphy’s Grove ricotta sautéed with garlic scapes
Beet stem bruschetta on crostinis with balsamic reduction and micro arugula
Mushroom tapenade and creamed garlic on nettle crackers

First Friday is almost here! Food Lab and Social Hour.

4-5:30 Food Lab with Katy. This month we explore edible flowers and botanicals. Together, we’ll craft vibrant mocktails, small-batch tinctures, aromatic bitters, and soothing herbal teas—learning the foundational techniques that bring out both the flavor and function of each plant. Along the way, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of seasonal harvesting, simple preservation methods, and how to incorporate these botanicals into your daily rituals. $25 register here:

We won't be at the Aitkin Farmers' Market tomorrow but we will have the farmstand fully stocked with salad greens, spinach, kale, collards, chard, asparagus, rhubarb, herbs, onions and more. Hope to see you!
