Our Story

Gobbler Concessions began as many small businesses do with a challenge, an inspiration and lots of perspiration! Bob, then a Hutchinson, Minnesota Chamber Board Member, and Jayne Mlynar have been serving their fresh roasted, secret recipe turkey croissants ever since Jayne asked Bob if they could be part of the first ever “Taste of Hutchinson” days. Bob challenged Jayne to “come up with something and we will do it” and that was just what she needed! Not surprisingly, Jayne woke up from a dream that night where they had created roasted turkey served on a buttery croissant. She set to making her dream a reality and they were in business!

With 5 freezers, a commercial kitchen and endless energy, Bob and Jayne roast 2 TONS...yes, TONS...of turkey a year. They rise at 5 AM, shred turkey and go to their “day jobs”. Jayne says that this has afforded them a lot of “quality time as a couple and put their sons through college.” Their fully roasted turkey is avilable year round in 10lb. pails.

Originally served out of their ice house, the Mlynars now pull their commercial “Gobbler Concessions” trailer to fairs and events throughout Minnesota. While they have expanded their offerings to include a ham and cheese croissant, their fresh, hot and juicy turkey croissants continue to be the star. Year after year hungry event attendees look forward to including a stop at Gobbler Concessions for their turkey croissant “fix” and it does not disappoint!
