We have owned English Shepherds for 21 years on our small farm where they are not only counted on to help out around the property but are members of our family. A very versatile and biddable working dog, the English Shepherd continues to be the perfect Farm Dog as well as the perfect companion for us. They are a hard-working, active breed who thrive when given a job, making for excellent farm dogs
or hiking companions - these pups make for the most loyal companion you could ask for! Our dogs have inherited the best attributes of their lines with temperament, athleticism, and the will to please. Our dogs are first and foremost members of our family. All of our breeding dogs have had Penn Hip studies and genetic testing through Embark. Whether you get a puppy from us or another breeder, make sure all proper testing has been done for the good of the breed on both parents. We are a small farm with horses, poultry and English Shepherds just east of Buffalo, New York. Stud service is also available from Chester to approved females. Puppies Born On Our Farm
All puppies born on our farm will be handled on a daily basis from birth until they leave the farm. Over the course of 8 weeks, beginning with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) on day 3 (https://www.extension.purdue.edu/extmedia/VA/VA-24-W.pdf), the puppies are exposed to a number of different stimulants for exposure training and puppy socialization. This includes introducing puppies to environmental sounds inside and out for desensitization, large farm equipment, music, animals, people, water, nail trimming, ear cleaning, mouth handling, car riding, as well as crate breaking the last 2 weeks they are here. During those last 2 weeks, they will also be introduced to our household routine as part of our family, begin house breaking, and 1:1 leash training. Each pup is examined, vaccinated, and wormed by our Veterinarian at 7 weeks to ensure that you are receiving a healthy pup. All pups will be English Shepherd Club and UKC registry eligible.
