🚨Transparency Alert 🚨

We will be raising prices slightly on some items. We don’t like having to do so, but current market conditions require it. The live cattle price has continued to tick higher due to record low US cattle numbers. We sold some steers on the hoof last week that averaged $3244 net per head. While this is a good thing for cattlemen overall, it makes things trickier running a small meat shop. After figuring up a similarly sized animal by the cut, we found that we only netted $3052 after the cost of butchering. This did not include the cost to deliver the cattle and pick up the meat. Nor did it figure in the time to man the store (roughly three weekends; 15 man hours). The split between those figures is not sustainable. Effective 4/21, all ground products and a few select cuts will see a small increase. We appreciate your business and will continue to be as fair and transparent as possible. Thank you!!
