Established in 1910, Rayl Farms Inc. in Akron is operated today by Brian and Sue Rayl. Brian is the fourth generation of his family to run the farm. Brian’s dad Dwain and his wife Krystal also are involved. Brian and Sue have three children - Stacey, Katie, and Mitchell.

The farm comprises 3,000 acres in Tuscola County where sugarbeets, wheat, corn, and dry beans are grown. The Rayl family has been growing sugarbeets since the 1950s.
