With increased globalization of the food supply, quality is sacrificed for price and convenience. As a reaction to this, many people have begun looking to obtain their food locally from known and trusted sources. Thinking along these lines we decided to turn our 5 acres into a homestead. Now we enjoy living on a pleasant homestead producing most of our own meats, eggs, fruits and vegetables.

But we want a community with which to share our abundance. To this end we have begun Abundance Aquaponic Farms LLC in order to provide high quality, very fresh produce to our neighbors in Alachua County. We want to know our customers. We want them to know us and the farm so that they can trust the produce they eat. The business will stay small and will only market directly to local customers via farmers’ markets, local stores and direct sales in hopes that our customers will become friends, and friends will become a community that shares good food and good times like neighbors do.
