Three generations.

Leyla K. Desserts began long before the business itself.

Our mother, Maryam, taught us to see beauty in the details. Through her work as a floral designer, we watched her create with patience, intention, and care; lessons that continue to shape everything we do today.

Now, creating together as sisters while raising families of our own, we’re reminded how much of what we make is really about the people who inspire us.

This business has always been, and will always be, a family story. 🤍

The Soraya Collection, named after our grandmother Soraya.

Leyla created these Persian-style shortbread cookies as a way to bring together color, elegance, and the flavors she grew up with.

Crisp, buttery shortbread finished with delicate glazes and hand-painted touches of gold - festive, detailed, and delicate.

We offer our Soraya Collection in a variety of flavors, including pistachio, orange saffron, rose cardamom, and traditional rice flour.

A collection rooted in Persian flavors, and inspired by the women who shaped our lives. ✨

California strawberries in June. It’s almost like a religion here in Northern California.

Sweet, fragrant, and deeply red this time of year. They perfume the kitchen before they are even sliced.

We wait for peak strawberry season, and when it arrives, we find ourselves eating them with almost every meal.

June Happenings at Leyla K...

Lately, our days have been filled with testing new recipes, refining flavors, and exploring thoughtful updates to some of our packaging and collections.

And believe it or not, we’ve already started thinking about the holidays! Future collaborations, seasonal offerings, and ideas we’re excited to slowly bring to life.

At the same time, we’re also trying to enjoy this season with family, now that summer break has begun.

We hope you are enjoying the warmer weather, blooming flowers, and energy of summertime. 💜

Somewhere in the 80s… long before Leyla K. Desserts was born, featuring Leyla and Ameneh’s impeccable style! 😊

Our journey began in Iran before eventually taking us across South Africa, Europe, and the UK. Living in these different countries introduced us to culture and beauty as others see it, and deepened our connection to our Persian culture.

Today, we call Northern California home, and are incredibly fortunate to be building something together that feels both deeply personal and rooted in tradition.

Some things have changed since these photos. Some things haven’t. But our sisterly love always remains 🤍

After years of making macarons, Leyla began shaping a collection that felt closer to home. Flavors inspired by what she grew up with, and what she kept coming back to.

Saffron, rose, pistachio, sour cherry, orange blossom, mulberry, pomegranate, and more.

A slight crunch at first, then a soft center that melts as you go, each one a little different, but all rooted in the same place.

Our Noor Collection of Persian-Style Macarons are as unique as they are delicious.

Its subtle warmth and floral depth bring a quiet richness to our confections, each bite something layered and unexpected. An ingredient as delightful as it is meaningful to our culture.

We’re getting your Mother’s Day orders ready for delivery!

From our signature embossed packaging to our custom embossed tote bags, we like to make each occasion unique and special. This Mother’s Day, we are featuring a beautiful butterfly theme, with butterfly gold tissue and card.

The last step is always the note, written by hand, tucked inside, and meant to be kept.
