Its official we started the process of getting our homestead. 39.94 acres. Here is a link to the area we chose

The pics are the stock pics from the site we purchased from. In March we are going to spend a week there camping on the land and have surveyor service mark out the perimeter.
Register for a postal address and get the permits needed to move a large shed and enclosed chicken pen.
I contacted a hunting lease company that helps lease your land to hunters. They pay for the right to hunt the land and they deter vandalism and trespassers. Win win.
I wish I could pack and move today but we have to wait. 3 adults, hubby is only 2 months post stroke, cats, birds, and a dog. We won't be able to move until we have a few things on the property. A secure building for 3 adults to live in and for the furred and feathered family . I will be posting many pictures once we get back in March.
