Elevation Farm and Orchard

Elevation Farm and Orchard Striving for a natural and sustainable way of life. We are a small family working towards our dream of converting the family owned auto body shop into a family owned farm.
(2)

Eventually turning the shop into an indoor farm and market with solar panels. We are striving for a more sustainable way of life while enjoying it. We do not use any chemicals and/or pesticides. We also use very little water with our mulching system. Right now we are specializing in micro greens, salad greens, various heirloom veggies, purple potatoes, and herbs. We are continually adding to our orchard; right now it consists of apricots, gooseberries, raspberries, rose hips, strawberries, and multiple varieties of cherries.

Inoculated some unpasturized cardboard with snow oyster grain spawn. Now trying to inoculate more cardboard in an attempt to increase my spawn. If this works I can perpetually increase my spawn. While also eliminating the need for pasteurization and sterilization on the substrate. I can just use more spawn instead.

Quantity is limited.

Our layers are very happy and well loved. We raise them on pasture and their feed is local non gmo.

Our greens are grown using organic and regenerative agriculture practices.

We decided to get a couple more ducks. We now have 6 ducks total. Gave them a new pasture today. I think they like it.

Our chickens are producing. We love going out each afternoon and seeing how many eggs we get. The kiddos love the chickens. They go pet and give the chickens hugs all the time.

The chickens are pasture raised. They have access to free range 24/7. They also love getting the garden bugs we collect for them as well as kitchen scraps.

Thanks to the Palisade Insectary for the Aulacidea Acroptilonica-Russian Knapweed Stem Gall Wasp. Released them today in the corner of our property with help from the kiddos. Hoping these guys will start knocking back some of the knapweed. Say no to glyphosate! If it works and you are a neighbor you're welcome.

Kids also waiting for the chickens to try the updated chicken run. Made it so our chickens could still free range in the goat's pens. Couldn't let them in the garden anymore with all the planting we have to do. They did a great job working the ground for us.
