Running River Dairy Goats Our herd of Nubian Dairy goats is tucked along the South Santiam River in Albany, Or. We raise Purebred Nubians for milking and we make Goats milk soap.

Last kids for the season were born Thursday. They are boer/Nubian cross. Buck/doe twins and an easy delivery. I'm happy to be done. They are cute though!

Their dam is a Nanuq daughter, Pika.

Milk test day!
Days like today are what keeps the passion for breeding high production animals going.

Top producers:
-Friendly with our first ever 15 pound day! What an incredible doe, one that I didn't give enough credit to as a First Freshener.
-Litter sister to Friendly and a strong milker herself, Fancy, milking 14.3 pounds today.

Still hanging in there, in spite of gentle attempts to back down production, Piper (Never Quits) with 8.1 pounds of milk after 441 day in milk. She truly is a diamond in the rough.

I am forever humbled by these animals and their willingness to show up everyday, and literally pour their heart into production.
