Lowder's Wildgame Taxidermy and Deer Processing

Bow season starts this Saturday, will you have weekend hours?

Smacked a big 'ol sow last night! Hung this set a week ago, baited it up heavy and primed it up with Black Widow Deer Lures Hot H***y Hog. Hogs showed up in no time! When I looked at the pictures and saw it was a group of big hogs, it was time to grab the bow! They were coming in like clockwork right after dark so I screwed on the Sniper hog Lights 38LRX, Daniel grabbed the cameras and off we went.

Right at dark this group let out a series of grunts and squeals that told us they were actually laying in the cutover beside us! After they got up from their bed and started making their way to us, we could tell they were big hogs and a few of them. 6 actually poured out of the cutover, I turned on the 38LRX on low and Daniel got the cameras rolling. We filmed them for 10-12 minutes while waiting for one to give me a nice quartering away shot. I could tell the hog in the back was one of the biggest or close to it... they were ALL BIG! When she finally turned and gave me a shot, I drew back, let the arrow fly and the Ramcat Broadheads sliced right through her. The Lumenok told the story as the laser beam of light zipped right in the boiler room and she made a mad dash to where they came from. I watch the Lumenok til it went out of sight in the thick brush and we knew exactly where to pick up the blood trail.

We filmed the recovery and she only went about 40-50yds total from where I shot her. As some of you saw last night, we did a couple LIVE Feeds on the recovery, signal was spotty so we got cut off a couple times. You'll see it all on Season 7 of the 704 Outdoors TV Show! Took her straight to Scotty at Lowder's Wildgame Taxidermy and Deer Processing and he weighed her in at 230lbs. That's going to be a lot of porkchops and sausage. What a hunt! What a BEAST! Couldn't have happened to a better guy and I couldn't be prouder of Adam taking his time and making sure he made a great shot on such a freak. I knew this Boar wouldn't be hanging out with this sounder for long. He's just waiting for one of the sows to come in, have his fun and be gone again. Studying the photos from our WiseEye SmartCam I knew when to go for it. Earlier in the day I rebaited and sprayed around the feeder with Hot H***y Hog by Black Widow Deer Lures. I kept the bottle in my pocket and everytime the wind swirled towards this brute as he approached, I gave the bottle a couple squirts. It definitely kept us from getting busted! Technology and patience paid off. This Boar moved like a ninja in the cutover, if it wasn't for the Trijicon, Inc. Reap 35 from Thermal Optics Plus to keep eyes on him, we would have been busted for sure. I knew when to spray the scent and when to get Adam ready for the shot. When the shot finally presented itself, he let the thunder roll from his DNA Firearm Systems Big Bore .458 SOCOM! The boar piled up within 100yds and then the task of getting that monster to the truck began. I'm sure there's one soar tuner at Aquadale Speed Shop today.
