✨ DAY 3 — WHAT AN INCREDIBLE FINISH! ✨

Not gonna lie… we were genuinely surprised and incredibly grateful for the exceptionally warm welcome Mami Churros & Creamery received at the World Food & Music Festival! ❤️

To be selected to take part in a festival ranked #8 Best Cultural Festival in the NATION 🇺🇸 — representing 29 countries, more than 50 food vendors, and welcoming nearly 100,000 festivalgoers — is something we are extremely proud of.

Three days of culture, food, music, long lines, new faces, and so many people experiencing our handcrafted churros for the very first time. 🥹✨

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the Greater Des Moines Partnership, Catch Des Moines, the World Food & Music Festival committee, and every single festivalgoer who welcomed us with open arms and supported our small independent concession business.

Des Moines… you showed Mami Churros & Creamery so much LOVE. ❤️

Day 2 at the World Food & Music Festival was a HUGE success! 🙏✨

As proud members of NICA — National Independent Concessionaires Association, we’re incredibly thankful to the World Food & Music Festival and Catch Des Moines for choosing Mami Churros & Creamery to be part of an event that welcomes over 300,000 people in just three days!

We’re proud to represent independent concessionaires by doing what we do best — serving fast, fresh & efficiently, while bringing a creative, one-of-a-kind dessert experience with our made-from-scratch churros right here in the Midwest. ❤️

Grateful for the opportunity. Proud of how far we’ve come. And ready for Day 3! ✨

There’s something so special about watching people take that first bite and seeing the smile that follows. 🍦🤎 These are the moments we work so hard for — creating something fun, delicious, memorable, and maybe even a little nostalgic.

The World Food & Music Festival brought together so many cultures, flavors, families, and beautiful moments…and we’re so grateful that Mami Churros & Creamery got to be a sweet little part of it. ❤️

And can we talk about these two?! 🥹 They understood the assignment! 😂🙌🏽 Churros in hand + BIG smiles = festival done RIGHT!

To the entire Steele County Free FairCommittee, Board Members, volunteers, and staff — thank you for the countless hours, dedication, and hard work you put into making this fair such an incredible experience year after year.

But most importantly, THANK YOU to every single fairgoer who stopped by, supported us, tried our churros, shared kind words, came back for seconds, and helped make this week so memorable. You are the reason we do what we do.

We are incredibly honored to say that Mami Churros & Creamery won the 2026 “Best Sweets at the Fair” Award with our Strawberry Cheesecake Churro Sundae! 🍓🍰✨

We were told that the presentation was outstanding — but the taste was even better. Hearing those words meant more to us than we can explain. There is truly no better feeling than having our hard work, creativity, and passion recognized.

Every detail we put into our food is intentional. We want you to see it and say “WOW!” — and then take that first bite and experience something even better. ❤️
